I just want everyone to understand that THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING! That set up right there has so much room to grow. This is an awesome foundation for many awesome videos to come! Keep in mind this was just a test run. This thing hasn’t even had a chance to be tuned. Just imagine when this baby gets some power adders and some tuning, and maybe some impeller/jet pump/nozzle work.

There will likely be oil starvation issues with this as constructed without a dry sump system. Trust me, I know from road racing LS engines... Install a Accusump at a minimum to save the engine when it sees those brief starvation moments (and it will). Also, I would highly suggest wrapping the exhaust system if you're going to run it as it sits. It will possibly save you from melting glass (or worse) later. I quickly watched the exhaust builds and it didn't look like you ran a wet system down stream of the wet manifolds. Might be wise to run even small water lines into the exhaust to cool it.

The max rpm will determine the final speed. With 600hp it will accelerate faster but still top out the same

@@rickems8863 It really went well. The starting point we have is really good considering we have the most bottom of the barrel LS right now. The gear ratio I think is perfect. The off the shelf pumps and impellers should work really good. We were not overpowering the pump at all. Lots of gains to be made with just tinkering.

You have the power to quite literally not ever overload the pump, repitch that thing to the absurd amount and watch the speed increase drastically

ehh depends, i havent watched the full series so idk if they did anything to it or if its a stock ls2 if it is its only pushing 380 ish maybe 410 to the pump, now add a cam, e85 and it would be insane or ya know send it and strap a lsa to it.....

Pretty cool guys! I would think you would need to over drive the impeller using your gear box and maybe switch to a more aggressive impeller. The power and torque is so much more now and needs to be harnessed! It should be crazy fast when you get her dialed in! Great job!

Awesome project! Glad to see it completed. And a confession; when I saw the first thumbnail and video I swore it was click bait and would get shelved at some point but it never did. I was wrong and love it! Such a good job in making it happen on a reasonable timeline and never over promising or under delivering! 😁 Thanks and keep doing interesting projects. Also it'd be interesting to see a cost and time breakdown if you don't mind sharing. PS, if you'd install an x-pipe in front of the muffers you might get better exhaust sound.

You should get one of them plastic balls that has a bracket and it will explode if there is a fire and put it out. I have several in a room I store lipo batteries in. They are $35. That’s a must have being one of a kind .

the engine setup is very well done, very compact but the jet ski seems to feel heavy in tight manoeuvers, the weight increase is in the 300 lbs order, not neglectng for such a small craft. it is a very nice work of design and fabrication.. probably that the fine tuning will need a bit of hydrodynamics to offset the weight increase and height increase of the gravity genter but it is fun to do.

So next should come a tune and a cam and depending an which cam you should be able to get at least 425 out the thing.. I think I would find an aluminum block 5.3 just to save the weight. This thing has huge potential. Do you know if it gets hot at all are the manifolds working as designed?
