Pro tip: if you grab the cherry picker and just lift it to how high you want it, wait a second then release. It’ll stay there. So you don’t have to pump it a thousand times to raise it up

14:22 I'm glad i saw this because i just had the same problem installing a McLeod RST and the plastic alignment tool wasn't cutting it i could not for the life of me get the trans stabbed. Got an old input shaft and it lined up and the trans slipped right in.

This video has really encouraged me to actually get to k-swapping my miata. Complete opposite end of the spectrum of autos to you guys, but I've been putting it off for too long. FYI definitely gonna want to do the bypass plug on the truck oil pan ,the clamp for the pickup tube w/ new o-ring and the barbell upgrade to insure no oil pressure issues ‼️... and if already there slap a rear main seal 😉👌

When Tom says he has the right tool for the crank pulley at 12:05 I wasn’t surprised. Crank pulleys are a pain and a half to take off and replace without the proper tools. Ask me how I know.

i hope you gapped the oil pump when you put it on and just cut that part out. you gotta use some feeler gages when you torque the pump down or it'll burn out

High pressure pump is better than high volume. Remember high volume means it’ll move more oil to the top of the engine but at then end of the day gravity is still a huge factor. If the oil is shoved to the top and doesn’t drain fast enough you get low oil pressure.

Yeah I heard a lot of people say the high volume pumps will suck the pan dry. If you want high volume/pressure then you either should be planning to run a thinner oil or some sort of low rpm application. I don't know from experience though, word of mouth moreso
