Why does my "stock" gxp kill clutches? Serious note though, if I plug in the snap-on scanner from work how can I tell if my pcm has been tuned? Bought car used 9 years ago. 3rd trans since, burned 1&2 on a stage 1 from TEP and dealership service guys keep telling me "I would know if it was tuned because it would have a chip in it." I just need to know if the pcm was tuned will the flash version be different from oem flash version number? Car seems to sound stock but keeps killing clutches. I'm on the hunt for wrecked Devilles or Auroras.

Have you checked your TPS? They can do some funny things. On older cars improper kick down adjustment could kill a transmission within a few miles.

Heat kills these things. Adding a cooler helps a ton with these 4t65e's. I kicked myself for waiting 10yrs to add one, because I would probably still be on the reman trans I bought the car with in 2013, instead of the nice one I swapped in - see my swap videos from 2022.

You mention intake swaps on a mild build. I have a 2008 Impala SS. Will a Fast LSXR intake fit under the hood? If not, can you recommend a performance intake.

Have you seen any examples of an LS in a Northstar Caddy? I really want to do it but I am surprised I cant find any online. I see several people say the were going to do it, even in your comments, but no finished projects.

Yes I have. The few I’ve seen completed haven’t posted much about the process. Unfortunately it’s just not our preferred platform so I don’t have a lot of experience to share with you.

@@LS4King Just the fact that it has been done helps. Tells me it should fit. Sounds like I will have to come up with my own mounts, but that's not bad. Do you have a link to these oil pans? I didn't see that in the description.

You need it under 450 hp if you want to just put a million miles on the vehicle without having to change the transmission.
