This this the first video I've seen where the instructor solves the entire question in appropriate LSAT time, with clarity. Just shows how easy it can be.

I'm just now starting my LSAT prep and im running out of time and the few videos on this channel are more helpful than a full course. whish there were more videos posted!

While I didn’t apply this method yet, I believe this video is far more helpful than the big name companies posting advertisements for their books. I learned a lot more here in ten minutes than 80 minutes with their poor tutorial commercials.

I’m sure this advice is too late. But if you’re struggling to see how to even begin diagramming something, look at the answer choices. There’s usually a “which could be the correct grouping/order/etc” question. See how that question lays out the answers. That’s a hint.
@foxomatic17 жыл бұрын
This was very helpful but seemingly more simplistic that the line game questions I'm tackling in my practice materials. I have a letter sequence that gives conditions such as "If G comes before H, then K and L come after J" and "If H comes before G, J and L come after K." These ones shred my brain :( Would love some examples of working though more complex problems!
@AdviseInSolutions7 жыл бұрын
Happy to talk about these, there is a straightforward way of making sense of them. They are a line game where you have relative positions but no absolute position. You can write me at info@advisein or call 212-249-2718.

Why am I having trouble understanding why LO cannot go between G/P in diagrams A and C, if N could fit in afterwards?
@Ragglerrrr4 жыл бұрын
They can, the reason why he wrote LO in spaces 3 and 4 is diagram B is because LO need N at some point after them, and in the condition to make diagram B the letters LO MUST be between G and P because those are the only consecutive spaces that allow N to be after them later. This is not applicable to graphs A and C because there are several different possibilities for LO to be placed because there are more consecutive spaces available that allow the LO-N rule to exist.

Does one have to master the rules of inference for the LSAT?Do we use them in answering logic questions, like the truth table?Coz I really don't get the concept of truth tables. But I've been practicing and so far I can answer by using the line/grid method. So when will you apply the truth table in LSAT?Thank you!:)

Great stuff but can someone explain why LO goes on the third? For the life of me, i Can’t figure out why it can’t go on the first one as well
@madelinefraser93234 жыл бұрын
LO just has to go somewhere before N, and in the first option it could go in between G and P in spots 2 and 3, OR in spots 5 and 6.

I've spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out question #1 and why LO can't go in to ANY of the scenarios. I understand the question is asking "If G is second", but he places LO in between G and P before even reading the question, saying that is the only place they can go. Why can't they go in any other diagram? The rules are they have to be together, and that N has to follow at some point. It can in any of the diagrams. Help!
@CS-pf7ke Жыл бұрын
You are not alone in being confused here. I think part of the difficulty is that it is only being presented verbally. If this question were on paper, you could annotate the question. Here is the synopsis of the question: Seven consecutive time slots for a broadcast, numbered in chronological order 1 through 7, will be filled by six song tapes-G, H, L, O, P, S-and exactly one news tape. Each tape is to be assigned to a different time slot, and no tape is longer than any other tape. The broadcast is subject to the following restrictions: L must be played immediately before O. The news tape must be played at some time after L. There must be exactly two time slots between G and P, regardless of whether G comes before P or whether G comes after P.
@CS-pf7ke Жыл бұрын
Pattern"B" from the presenter is the only one that puts G in the second position (_ G _ _ _ _). And since we know either G _ _ P or P _ _ G is true, we can update our solution to _ G _ _ P _ . Here is the confusing part. We know that O must come _*_immediately_*_ after L, but we also know N has to come sometime after L. According to Pattern B, there is only one possibility for this. If we put L and O in positions 5 and 6, there is no room for N. So, L and O must be at 3 and 4 (_ G L O _ _), which means L must be third. (For additional clarity, according to Rule 2, the news must come in position 5 or 6, but according to Rule 3 (G _ _ P), N must be 6th. The only way this can work is if L and O fit into 3 and 4).

wait a minute, I cant seem to work out why 'LO' can only fit into diagram B. To me it seems it can also fit into diagram C. 'L must come immediately before O, and N must follow sometime after L'; so doesn't this mean that 'sometime after' could also mean in the final position? I appreciate any guidance or explanation anybody can offer me here...
@damianmensch82245 жыл бұрын
It is not that it LO an only fit into diagram B, they can fit in C too. However, in diagram B you know that LO for sure have to be in those spots, they can not go anywhere's else. Hope this helps.

I'm still having a difficult time understanding why LO can only fit in between G and P in diagram B. I understand that N needs to come SOMETIME after LO but it doesn't specially say when after? Why couldn't LO also go between the G and P in diagram A?
@TacticalOps225 жыл бұрын
Chandler Szydlowski LO could go between G and P in diagram A. The reason he put them there in B specifically is because that’s the only way they can go. He didn’t do the same thing with A because LO could also go after G-P. It’s been two months but hope it helps.

You say L&O must me where they are in diagram B, but why? None of the rules said it has to be there only that they have to be consecutive and N must follow sometime.
@swimmer99858 жыл бұрын
Because in diagram B there is not enough space anywhere else in the diagram for L & O to be next to each other and still have N after them
@AdviseInSolutions7 жыл бұрын
Right, excellent. This is why determining the implications of the rules is so important, not merely rushing into the questions after you've written down the base rules.
@Esmittyfasho7 жыл бұрын
AdviseInSolutions I don't understand. In diagram A, you could put LO between G and P with N anywhere after. In diagram C, you could put LO before G or after G. In diagram D, you could put LO in any of the spots before G. My main question is then, how are you reasoning for LO in diagram B?
