Fun fact about hd unleashed: the final boss doesn't give you a rank THE FIRST TIME, but does give you a rank every time after. The game never tells you this. Edit: Also Green hill in SA2 has an A rank, so he does need to get all 180 emblems (Though at this point just cheese the chao stuff and hack in stats, nobody cares).

Getting all S ranks in forces is actually way easier. All you gotta do is complete a daily mission to get a score multiplier. After you do that getting an S rank in a stage is effortless thanks to it.

I havent started watching but I relate to the whole memory card thing. For a while I just assumed all games were like the games I saw my mom play where you kept playing it til you lost. I got to Rail Canyon before being told to wrap it up, and I would JUST turn the TV off or switch it back to cable. At some point at Frog Forest, after like 2 days of leaving my gamecube on straight, my mom hit a switch that turned off all the stuff in the wall not knowing this and I remember sobbing over this tragedy and her being confused as hell.

Fun fact that spring in Pyramind Cave in SA2 is an entire mistake by the developers, it doesn't function and is impossible to access from any direction, so either they really messsed up the code somewhere or it wasn't supposed to be there at all

@@BrimBlam So the deal is all of the pillars in that area have collision that extends above what you can actually see, the most likely reason is that the developers put the spring there in order to be used and indeed the homing attack targeting still works but they forgot that the extended collision of the pillars makes the spring completely inaccessible from all angles and by all methods If you're at all interested in seeing more, there's an entire video by KZbinr ZoomZike that does a thorough breakdown of absolutely everything in Pyramid Cave and is the reason I even know this information at all

Played through SA2 with my partner as their first experience with the game, and at Cannon's Core the underwater section as Knuckles was INSANELY hard for them. I wondered why it felt so strict cuz I didn't remember struggling with it, but I remember how excited we were when after like a half hour of time spent on that section alone we finally beat the level. I recently had an issue with shadow the hedgehog on the hero side of the gun fortress where no matter how fast I did it I got an E ranking with a score of zero. And it happened no matter how many times i did the level. Later I learned that because i was taking down all the mechs with the giant silver gatling guns and basically being a murderous ammo hoarding psychopath shooting everything in my way, it was enough that my dark score completely outweighed the hero score and since i was doing a hero mission, it was more than enough to tank me to 0 when it averaged out. And that's just how the games mechanics are. It's not a glitch it's a legitimate feature.

In Heroes, when doing the Egg Storm fight with Team Chaotix, for the round where you get in the cannon in Power formation, you can instead jump onto the rail circling the tower you are on in Fly formation and use Thunder Shoot to destroy the enemies in the distance quickly.
