Boutte had 2 or 3 catches for 20 yards. Neutralized! FSU won 24-23 and it should have been AT LEAST 31-17 if not 38 or 41-17. FSU absolutely needs to clean up their red zone playcalling, but we still got the W.

So coming from a Nole, here’s what I got: gonna go ahead and put my prediction early because none of y’all want to read my full comment, and that’s fine, you can be bad fans, but here we go: Florida State seals the upset 17-14. Here’s my reasoning: What most LSU fans aren’t paying attention to is FSU injuries that weren’t in play last weekend. Our starting center (Maurice Smith) didn’t play last week, and he’s available this week. We had a starting receiver (Johnny Wilson) go out early but will be back, we had another starting receiver (Ja’Khi Douglas) not even play, and he’s back this week. We had our starting corner (Omarion Cooper) our last week, he’s back this week. The only big concern is that linebacker Amari Gainer will miss a few weeks but we have Tatum Bethune, who is extremely talented. Now, onto some key matchups, and I’m gonna start with the biggest ones off the bat: Jared Verse going against true Freshman LT Will Campbell, and Robert Cooper going against freshman LG Tre’Mond Shorts. That left side of the line is a matchup nightmare, seeing two guys get their first collegiate starts against two top defenders in the nation. I don’t care how talented a freshman you are coming out of high school, that’s still a match made in heaven favoring the experience. And on the QB’s blindside? Oh goodness. I know LSU has some NFL level receivers, they always do. In fact, if he gets time, they will torch our DB’s. But remember, and LSU fans who watched the SB know: you can only do so much with very little time. Daniels is gonna be on alert all game, without a second of calm in that pocket. On the flip side, the defense (which is extremely stacked with talent I might add), has to worry about Cerberus, the three headed monster at RB. Ward, Toafili, and Benson’s rotation ensure a constantly healthy and energized run game, that will pound and pound and pound until that front seven will be drained. Our receivers, I need to see more. But Jordan Travis is as confident and healthy as he’s ever been in his life, and has a recipe to pull of a stunning upset. Finally, there’s the coaching and trends: Norvell has been able to implement his system, his schemes, and get his guys. A better OLine than last year, and a knack for making Brian Kelly furious. FSU is 7-2 against LSU all time, and FSU recently has made a habit of pissing Brian Kelly off, win or lose. Plus, Brian Kelly is the type of coach that his teams take a bit to mold when he first arrives at a school. Do I doubt LSU will be a top team in the nation in a few years? Absolutely not. Brian Kelly is a phenomenal coach. But I think experience and consistency give FSU the edge here in a low scoring, highly entertaining slug fest that will leave fans on both sides of the field happy to see their teams progress. I could be (and probably am) very wrong. LSU can very well shut us out. But I think there’s too many people sleeping on FSU this season. Regardless, Lou, I love your insight and your videos, and have nothing but respect for LSU and their fans. I will admit our offensive line is unsure at this point but we do have depth there for the first time in a long time. Now the big test will be against that defensive line LSU has. I believe Jordan Travis will make some plays with his legs and also thru the air. We have big receivers and if they can get open there will be chances to make plays cause LSU is going to load the box. Also if we can win the turnover battle that will be key. Anyway it will be a great game and I'm excited to see how FSU does. Go Noles!

Jayden Daniels can math travis stride for stride and just might be a tad faster. Daniels footwork and accuracy has improved greatly this summer and camp. He even brought the WR corps to his house in CA for a week so they could workout together and get better acquainted. Tigers have some big and I mean really BIG CBs. The 6'2" 215-220 lb range. They also have their own big receivers, Not as big as that cat from zona st though. If you want LSU to load the box you going to have to earn it. House won't do that from the get. Can’t agree that FSU winning is unimaginable or that there’s no way as you’re kinda suggesting, but you’ve gotta give the clear advantage to LSU. I think the biggest thing that keeps FSU fans hopeful is the completely new OL for LSU and the fact that this is BK’s first game with the new team (while FSU had a tune-up against Duquesne). TBH with you, I kinda feel like any prediction made before 3rd or 4th quarter starts is too made too soon. @@DBlairMusic LSU Oline has clearly been a talking point all offseason. Without a doubt. Granted dellinger has never played center before but he is is a good football player. Started four games as a TrFr last year at guard and tackle. RG Bradford is a JR I believe, He has started at guard and tackle. RT Wire has started off and on the last two years. The new guys. Starting RG was a Fr all american last year at a G5 school in FL. TrFr Will Campbell is the best OLine prospect from LA since Cam Robinson was a recruit. Robinson started at bama as a TrFr. We will see how well they move as a unit. That avg 6'6" and 317 LB. They will be talked about till they hit the field under the bright lights of the dome.

FSU will have to rely on a lack of continuity to help them create pressure on whatever QB is back there (looking like Daniels, but who knows). If LSU can consistently run, it’s probably over, but that seems far from certain. Ironically it’s almost the same story for FSU, minus a lower overall level of talent. Such a huge question mark, like a lot of other positions… I can’t wait for these teams to kick it off and get this ish started! 😆 May the refs not screw it up!

That is 3 1st round picks and 2 top 10 picks easy, I don't even know what to expect from us but I wouldn't even begin to look at last year to make my assumption. LSU returned both starting safeties and brought in a four year starting safety from another SEC school for backup. CBK brought in four CBs through the portal. They were from all levels P5 (2), G5 (1) and FCS (1). They were all starters with a combined 10 years starting experience. Brought in a three year starter from the SEC to handle the NB position. His backup is a 5* from the '21 class. It's not like LSU is lacking returning talent in the secondary. As for the newcomers they were all starters. It's not like they were looking for more PT. They are all experienced and have elite talent. LSU's OLine is a work in progress. Think they are better at this point than fsu. ALL the OLinemen on the team are fully healthy. Tigers returned seven OLinemen that had multiple starts last year. Best OLine recruiting class in a loooooong time. The QB position is a push at worst for the tigers.
