Iowa was great, Caitlin Clark is my favorite player, however there's the fact that we just weren't prepared to do intense battle yesterday. It's unfortunate because a title was on the line, but Iowa literally played it's heart out on Friday night to beat SC.. as for the hand gestures and trash talk from Clark and from Reese, it's part of the game, it really is part of the game...if you don't like it, do something about it.
@greg.d.c Жыл бұрын
Well, LSU is not a very good 3-pt shooting team, yet they had an extraordinary 3-pt shooting performance at the best time. To beat a team that shoots from the perimeter that well you have to match them, or else you're trading 2's for 3's. Iowa was capable of doing that, but the difference was LSU was doing a better job guarding the 3. Iowa did not. They played the percentages. And that put Iowa too far behind to catch up. If LSU was playing South Carolina for the championship and performed that way, LSU would have beaten them.

Are you serous? Have you never played competitive sport? Do you think there is a difference between trash talking when the game is competitive compared to trash talking when the game is over? There is a HUGE difference. Ali might be the greatest athlete we have seen. Ali trash talked before the fight. He trash talked during the fight. But did Ali trash talk opponents while they were out on their stool? Or did Ali show compassion and heart to his beaten opponents? There's a reason why Ali is the greatest. Let's be real. If one is going to trash talk after the game they need to be the reason the team won. LSU would have won without Reece. I have been an athlete all my life. I still coach wrestling. And I find her behavior very poor.

@unitynow6043 Жыл бұрын
If you don't see the difference in what each girl did then you don't understand sportsmanship or trash talking. Continuously Taunting a player who is clearly better then you after your team beat them in the championship game is just classless. Even worse is that she copied her taunt from a previous game that she wasn't even involved in. Yes you won a college tittle but Clark is a path to do big things in the wnba and potentially bring new life into womans basketball.
@ReezyFresh Жыл бұрын
@@unitynow6043 win the game if you dont want to be trash talked. You dont know what was said on the court. And why is trash talking okay in the NBA but not in womens basketball? Jordan, bird, payton, etc all talked trash and they got praised for it.
@unitynow6043 Жыл бұрын
@@ReezyFresh its called sportsmanship. Talking trash is all fine during the game because the other player/team can respond with thier play. Doing that level of taunting after the game is over is just a classless act. What makes is worse is she is taunting a player who is clearly better then her and will probably have a better career then her. Another thing that is not a good look is the fact it is the championship game you should be celebrating with your team not taunting the other team that is already clearly upset. The difference between this and the nba is huge. The nba is full of grown men worth millions ,these are 18- 21 year old girls who probably still rely on thier parents. You won't see an NBA player do this after winning a title and be proud of it.

@@tank100286 they are all young people in a high stakes environment with lots of emotions so taunting and mistakes are not the end of the world. Either way no one is" in their feelings " that's just a lazy way to discredit someone's logical argument. There is a time and a place for taunting thats is obvious to anyone who has a brain and was raised right. You don't excessively taunt in a persons face right after you beat them in a championship game. Its called respect. The debate online is whether the taunting acts were the same , which they clearly weren't and if the backlash on Reese had to do with race.which it clearly didn't and anyway that mattered.
