40:55 You play 2 blockers, opponent has to kill all of them to present lethal, then next turn you draw upheaval. RIP. I mean, given that they showed cryptic and fire covenant you were still probably dead, but it would have been nice to find out.

Toward the end of game 3 was there any consideration to the following line?: Strider is at 8, attacking with Goyf and Scarlett. Block the Goyf with Birds and shoot it with the Ballista so he doesn't gain life or get the card from Goyf. Then attack with Nadu for 4 (exalted), put him to 4 with a Crypt in play plus you have Ballista and he has no cards in hand, so just straight up loses to a flip. If he wins the flip, you get to make the same play the turn after by blocking either with noble and shooting it or just blocking with Ballista and shooting Strider in the face twice. I guess this play would not have worked if he wins the flip and his top card is exactly Shieldbreaker, but otherwise seems like it gives you a decent shot.

Walking Ballista can fit in many spots along the curve but keeping it in the 3 drop slot for the draft was a real choice!

These early concessions are becoming so wild to me. Leaving some not-very-unlikely win scenarios on the table to show you don’t care and would rather save 30 seconds. Would be much better for the videos to see those occasional epic comebacks. Oh well, your channel

The thing is that when you stream/record every day you need to keep things feeling fun. And sometimes it is fun to play it out, especially for Storm or Breach, but sometimes it's not much fun to just run through more time commentating over an 90% loss.

exactly and realistically we're talking 95% loss. obviously in competitive environment you play it out, but this is clearly an entertainment first stream@@lostalone9320

@@lostalone9320 Personally, I would much prefer to see him play in 90% loss situations. One of the best things about watching pros play is seeing how well they do under pressure and winning what seemed like unwinnable games. I don't really think it's about fun so much as LSV being a bit on tilt as of late. I mean, I know complaining about bad beats has always been a part of the schtick, but now it feels more genuine and less trolly.

Could've just drawn off the relic instead of casting the ring I think. As you pointed out, you were winning a battle of resource-attrition and that is just another incremental advantage that would have forced him to act. Eventually you draw out the cryptic (or as I was thinking, a possible Dack) to clear the way for the ring. There's a concern it's slower and it gives him time to recover, which I guess was your thinking, but as it happened he got you anyway.

It’s pretty busted, albeit a bit expensive, but I’m on the train as well; it can do a lot in almost any situation.

Headline Scarlett makes a creature unable to block until end of turn. I think they used that on birds

I find that you prefer stay open in normal draft, but you prefer force into one Two-color in high stake draft. Could you explain the reason？🍉🍉🍉

Pinging the opponent with ballista instead of your stuff + scarlet, would that have saved you? they would've been at 2 and needed covenant for 3. hindsight i guess.
