The reason why a lot of people do LS swaps is because their significantly cheaper than building up a coyote. An average joe can get high horsepower outage with them since they don't cost as much money. Don't get me wrong, the LS is a pretty damn good engine, but the coyote is the better engine.

4g63mark That's a delayed reaction if I've ever seen one. I'd like to take a brief moment to educate you on the finer points of LS vs 4v 4.6 arguments. The 4v, which you guys love to brag about, was never an NA monster, but it "loved boost". The Terminator cobra was a 400-420hp supercharged answer to GM's already cancelled Camaro and Trans Am, both of which pretty well raped all of Ford's NA mustangs. The "Terminator" made that 420hp on 8psi. Simple little 4.8L 290hp truck engines are making that with 2 valves per cylinder and 1 camshaft. There are guys running 4.8s in 6,000lbs trucks on 12psi running 10s. I'm in the process of building an LS2-swapped '67 C10. 500 crank hp with just a custom cam and valve train upgrade. Stock heads, stock intake manifold. LS engines are more reliable, cheaper to build, cheaper to maintain, and make just as much hp for less money than a 4v. I've watched countless videos of 3v and 4v engines being torn down and rebuilt. Taking 2 and sometimes 3 days. I built mine in 8 hours, tearing it down to the short block and reassembling. They're simple and powerful naturally aspirated OR boosted, unlike mod motors, where you're lucky to make 500 without machine work. You can't deny it. Funny enough, I'm part of a page on FB called N/A SVT Tech Group and I see all the time. You can squawk and preach about mod motor this and mod motor that, but at the end of the day, we all know it took Ford 15 years to build a true n/a rival to GM's original LS1. And if you haven't been paying attention, the new Camaros are destroying every Mustang Ford can throw at them. The ZL1 1LE just dropped and it has already killed every accomplishment the GT350R made. It is posting better numbers than cars 4 times its price. It's becoming obvious by everyone that Ford is feeling the heat.

So Ford discontinued the best pushrod v-8 for the mod motor first the 4.6 what a gem l know l have a 2003 mustang GT now the new 5.0 and gt350r 5.2 which have no ass below 3000 rpm they don't even make a push for engine unless it's diesel guess they just got tired of winning even dodge has the hemi my stock 2002 Silverado 5.3 weights 4200 pounds ran 9.87 in the eighth mile my 2003 mustang GT 4.6 weights 3400 pounds ran 9.96 in the eighth mile I'm thinking if the 5.3 was in the mustang with good traction would be easy 9.20s and if Ford makes the best pushrod engines makes no sense to stop my 1984 Monte Carlo SS with a LS3 with cam CNC ported heads pushrods and SFI balancer 850 carb runs 7.23 in the eighth at 96 mph and weights 3380 with me in it the lower half of engine is stock minus pushrods Cam timing chain ported heads and balancer watching a new gt350r with drag radials running 7.9 in the eighth how much is this car 70,000 dollars l have 35,000 dollars in my Monte Carlo including price of car new two engine changes and 34 years of owning it figure it out all the prices of all new performance cars are way over priced and basically made like shit do not like anything newer than 2004 mustang

Because 4.6 modulars suck? I own a 95 5.0 but the best muscle engine is the LS. Easy to mod, affordable to mod, and powerful as hell. Coyote and Termi engines are nice too, but that price tag isn't. So shut up and enjoy the fucking car.
