That’s actually pretty impressive what you did with the stock lt1 head vs an afr headed sbc. Thanks for sharing, sadly people in the comments do not understand engines and you can expect people to try and compare an engine with over 50 years of old technology to an LS based race engine from the factory. If it wasn’t for the LS these copycat builders would be sitting in the stands. Real engine builders can build any engine and make power. Not just an engine that needs a cam and a tune to make over 500hp.

As long as the lifter is on the backside of the lobe it doesn't matter how you adjust it. When I do mine I just roll the engine over until both lifters are down and just adjust a 1/4 past 0 lash. People argue over what 0 lash is. Some say when you can't spin the pushrod. Lloyd Elliott taught me differently. He told me to carefully try to lift the pushrod vertically and you slowly adjust the rocker until it just stops moving vertically and adjust 1/4 turn from there. I've done this for over a decade now and it never fails me.
