I bought a *jklux* super fake because I was still undecided on whether I liked it enough to buy the real deal. It arrived and it was great, I didn't need to buy the original one. The attention to detail is amazing and even shows in all the packaging and labels. It does make me feel a certain way about the designers selling these bags. They were selling it for about 10 times what I paid. They are ripping people off. Hermès is the worst at this - I imagine them in the board room laughing at how much people are prepared to pay.

That adjustable belt has been a gift from heaven. I had JUST finished decluttering my wardrobe, finally doing what everyone tells you to do: Let go of the too-small clothes you haven't worn in years. Then I got cancer and lost 30 pounds in just a few weeks. That was weight I could afford to lose, so I'm not complaining. But dang, nothing fits anymore. I live in shorts in summer and they all fall off my hips, literally. That little belt saves the day over and over. The adjustable feature is brilliant. Thanks for the recommendation.

I just did a little detective work and found out that the Thompson Hotel by Hyatt used to be an iconic building that also houses the Dallas Petroleum Club. My niece and her husband had the wedding reception there and it was fabulous. In those days, it was so safe in downtown Dallas. You could walk from great restaurants and hotels to the Neiman Marcus flagship store any time with no problem. So sad. Our wonderful big cities are in such decline and it makes me really sad.

It’s everywhere! I used to walk with my babies in strollers around the Square in San Francisco…by myself! Right where people are now getting shot and I’d need to step over poop everywhere I went…So sad.

Thanks for sharing 😊 On another note: When we lived in Tx, the Dallas Cowboys used to practice at our high school field house while they were building their new practice facilities. Our pom team was very interactive with the Dallas cheerleaders and quite a few over the years have become Dallas cowboys cheerleaders. They all work so hard and are phenomenal! I am so excited to be moving back to Texas next year (to be closer to our kids/grandkids) 😊😊 And WOW, looks like you had a great time at the LTK convention! Hi Marnie, I didn't know Dallas was so bad. Here in CA San Francisco is like that. If you drive there you can't leave anything in your car because the window will be broken. I thank you , for doing so much work for us to find things that we otherwise may not know exists such as those eye glass cleaners or that Tyler’s laundry detergent I got years ago due to you (just to name a couple ). I doubt they’d ever move it out of Dallas (that’s where they’re headquartered) but even if they just went ½ a mile north to Uptown it would be fine. Once you go a few blocks north of downtown, it’s an entirely different experience.

I live in Forney, which is fast becoming the easternmost suburb of Dallas, and had no clue that downtown Dallas is that bad! We both used to work in downtown Dallas (retired now) and David worked very close to where you were staying. Things must have really changed since last year because I don’t remember your saying anything about these types of problems last year after LTKCon. Our SIL is a partner in a large law firm that was also near your hotel, but they built their own building away from downtown, and lately he has had to travel a lot. I guess it just seems funny to live here and have someone from San Antonio tell us how bad downtown is now! Ha! It’s obvious we now live very quiet lives without the occasional nightlife we used to take part in! Ha! Really enjoyed this video! Always enjoy hearing about LTKCon and all your other experiences and travels as well as your regular content. You are so down to earth and I really appreciate your honesty on all the items you share. TBH, it wasn't great last year either, but the change from last year to this year was so noticeable that I needed to bring it up. I know it's not limited to Dallas-even downtown San Antonio has seen a negative spiral too.

@@MsGoldgirl so true. When we first moved to Charlotte from Dallas in ‘99 David was transferred) uptown Charlotte was very safe at night. We moved back in ‘07 (after daughter & SIL adopted our granddaughter in China and we couldn’t stay away! Ha!) By then you didn’t dare walk around uptown Charlotte at night. It’s really sad!

Oh Marnie! First of all I loved this video! But I am so sad you had a bad experience in downtown Dallas! I used to work down there and it was not like that back then. Michael felt the same way! In fact, the Thompson Hotel is housed in the same building that used to be full of law offices! He used to there to visit his outside counsel and he was just appalled at how bad it's gotten.
