The LTS visa is the newest Long Term Visa that Thai Government has just released in last May 2022 and will be start to effective from 01 Sep 2022 (postponed from 1 July 2022 )
After the Pandamic, The Thai Government release this LTR was introduced to attract potential wealthy foreigner to invest in Thailand to stay in Thailand for 10 years
Wealty Pensioner : Eligible
The Thai Government and the Thailand Board of Investment will Classify A person as a Wealthy Pensioner if they meet one of the below requirements:
The Applicant must have at Least 80,000 US Dollars Personal income Per Year or an Equivalent amount at the Time of application.
In case the Yearly Income of the applicant is between 40,000 USD and 80,000 USD, Applicant must Invest a Minimum Amount of 250 thousands US Dollars in Thai government Bonds, Thai Property or Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
In addition to the above requirements, the Applicant must have a Health insurance with a Minimum of 50,000 US Dollars Coverage or Social Security benefits that ensure Treatment in Thailand or having at Least 100 Thousands US Dollars Deposit
Work from Thailand Professional
Having a Personal yearly income of at Least 80 thousands US Dollars For the Past 2 Years, Or In case the Personal income is between 40,000 US Dollars and 80,000 US Dollars per year during the Past 2 Years, applicant will need to present a Master’s Degree or Above, Receive Series A Funding, or is owning an intellectual property.
The Current Employing Company is a Public Company on a Stock Exchange or is a Private Company that has been operating for a Minimum of 3 years, and having a Combined Revenue of a Minimum of 150 US Dollars during the Past 3 Years.
Having a Minimum of 5 years Working Experience in a Relevant Field of the Current Employment during the Past 10 Years.
In addition to the above requirements, the Applicant must have a Health insurance with a Minimum of 50,000 US Dollars Coverage or Social Security benefits that ensure Treatment in Thailand or having at Least 100 Thousands US Dollars
LTR Long Term Residence Visa Criteria
1) Stay up to 10 years the 1st time issued for 5 years and can renew for another 5 years
2) Yearly Fee 10,000 Baht
3) Immigration Report 1 time per year ( in stead of every 90 days)

Jang, Sawadee Krap - If I'm married to a Thai Lady and I buy a house for her in her name and have the requirement money to apply for a Pensioners LTR Visa. I'm retired Australian. Is all acceptable to proceed.

my understanding it is your total income from all sources. the application does ask you about all income.. I just started to fill out application, it is a little confusing

@@pathkris2984 Yes I did get the visa. I used rent income, dividends and interest. and my pension. I sent in copy of tax return, all 1099s , any and all proof of income. My process went smooth.

Actually the opposite. The LTR Visa is much cheaper and has similar benefits.

Elite visa doesn't provide any tax benefit while LTR does.
