5:05 adrenaline is a pretty good painkiller; it's sometimes detrimental because you end up pushing yourself and PRing only to realize later that you aggravated that injury. But in the case of a WR it's understandable.

7:52 I love his attitude, mentally and demeanor. This is what drives me, just the enthusiasm for the sport. Best ambassador and greatest living example by far.

John Breuwet it’s a very Asian/Chinese thing. They rarely carry negative emotions and bring a very positive and humble attitude.

He might be the closest reference to Goku. Humble, strong, positive way of thinking, and most importantly, fight for his family.

I admire his respect to the adversaries. His courage and confidence touch me inside. These games are a process, not products for such a high level champion.

A true legend of the sport - so many great moments. I was lucky enough to be spectator at the 2019 worlds and saw him push through the pain and make that 207kg C&J for the world record and gold medal. Fantastic stuff - still gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. Thanks for making this interview!

Lu said he didn’t feel heavy of that 205kg, and then tried 207kg, the thing happened just so nature, since like he said in the other interview, he has the strength, he been working on improving the strength all the time
@64wy4x8s4 жыл бұрын
Please just have subtitles when Lu is speaking, instead of using english voice-over dubs.

Amazing the IWF doesn't do a better job of promoting there star athletes. Why don't they put these interviews out, or atleast contract it out to somebody
@narayankannan96794 жыл бұрын
Jim H agree broadly on your comment but do check the IWF channel. There was a entire documentary on many TOP weightlifters with short interviews with almost all top Chinese lifters
@psl1274 жыл бұрын
@@narayankannan9679 ya, I seen that. I believe it was done a few years ago. They should have atleast monthly updates if not daily social media posts of there star athletes. It's a real shame there is not a great in depth interview of Lasha. Frankly its pathetic.
