It was beautiful and surreal. STUNNING!!!!! My brother and I saw them twice on this tour, 1993 and 1994. I am reliving the magnificence of this perfect moment in time. F'N AMAZING!!!!!!!! Our musical tastes are so different, but even he was impressed. That speaks to the power of DM's music. It breaks my heart that Alan Wilder is no longer a part of Depeche Mode. This album was where the true fans and the violator masses fans separated. DM used real instruments on this album and decided to pull away from the electronic version of themselves. I saw this concert in Hampton Roads, VA. The The opened for them. Depeche was 30 minutes late to the venue, but when they played this opening, I cried. They did drop the curtain after the first verse.

Special song by a special and unique band. People don't realize what a piece of art this is...these DM times were pretty historical. That part where Alan enters to play the melody is a classical example of how hitting the right notes in the right context is key to move your soul in the right direction. Pure magic!
