What a Beautiful Woman. Her back story is just incredible. I remember when I saw here sleeping in her car her and her mom. Didn't believe she would really make it, but here she is. An American dream. Hellfire, I am a 35 year old guy (and a 20 year guitar player) and I just loved Jewel when I was back in high school. Back then,I would tell everyone, "this is my ideal woman for sure!" That voice, looks and talent just got me. How could it not? I'm pretty much a punk/metal heavy music kinda dude, I'll admit. I have my acoustic moods like the rest of us though! Lord have mercy, I was in love with this woman from the first time I heard her voice. What an appropriate name for an angel to have, Jewel! I haven't listened to her in years and just happened to stumble on this performance after I listened to Neil Young do 'Needle and the Damage Done'. It linked me to this incredible show. (Thanks KZbin!) Let me tell you, she is more lovely and talented than ever. Jewel, thank you girl. You are even more beautiful than I remember. I respect you so much musically, and your vocal phrasings are about as good as it gets. Still a fan! Glad you are still keeping on. Good to see ya again.

my kids were young when jewel hit the scene and i have a taste for a variety of music. jewel was among the cassette tapes in the 1985 ford conversion van that carried my 4 kids and the spare kids i ended up w/ all the time. (1 - 4 kids) (ages 3 yrs - 13 yrs)they all sang along w/ the tapes and they even started buying their own to play when we went out riding around looking for something fun and interesting to do on our week ends. it was a kinder gentler time but we still have the memories of the music n the van!
