@@luatmac Hello. My question to you is a simple one. "Was the tree dead"? If it was, I think that it's great that you were able to use it's wood to create beauty from it's wood. The truth of the matter is that many governments are allowing the cutting down of big old growth trees after the Forrest's have been burnt and cleared.

You have lived in an environment that is full of all conditions as well as spiritually protective of all. but we are resilient and indomitable people who have gone through 2 arduous and fierce wars and have been used to living in the most difficult and harshest conditions, lacking both material and spiritual. So for us personal protective equipment is no longer so important. due to different circumstances and circumstances. With an iron spirit, we will resolve to rise up to prove to the world that Vietnam will be a developed country despite going through 2 fierce wars.

I wouldn't see this as getting something done. It's far more un-doing something that was already done. I am a woodworker and I love beautiful woodgrain as much as anyone else, but at this point in the state of the world cutting down a tree like this is a complete disgrace. What is it about mankind that makes us see something old and say "let's kill it!"?
@cathexis1325

@@UriahGiles I definitely see your point...I have a small bandsaw mill and I guess I just got caught up in the moment of seeing what they did with this giant tree. My hope is that it was harvested after it was already down. I harvest most of my lumber from fallen trees on my property.

3000 years old ?! If true, that wasn't a lumber project, that was a temple of nature which was reduced to wooden planks and other such futile things; which themselves will probably not last longer that a couple of decades, at most. Did you know that a myriad of living organisms need old and fallen trees, slowly rotting, to survive?

If you understood even the basics you would know the tree was dead long before it was cut. Glad it was utilized instead of letting fire or bugs destroy the usable wood 👍

The saddest aspect of this video is the lack of personal protection equipment......such as protection for hearing, eyes , wearing leg chaps and steel toe shoes. On the job safety is far more important than the value of any tree on earth.
