Deployed my new L2 5k H model three weeks ago - loving it. I decided on Luba because of a steep hill I have on my property. It cuts the hill as if it's flat. 😀 Because I've only mowed a few times so far, I haven't tried every option yet. This video was really helpful for me, as are all of your Luba videos. I've watched them all since you started publishing them. Thank you!

I got my Luba 2 5000 a week ago and it's rained every single day, flood watch again today... but there is hope tomorrow that I can finally get Sir Mows Alot going... good video!

Hang in there! It's worth the wait when it's 70% humidity and 100 degrees outside. 😂

Thank you for the visual. Much better than trying to read it. After the latest update, mine just died after mowing all night, pausing just short of the base to recharge. trying everything -short of chest compressions- I logged out of the app, changed my password, logged back into the app and everything started back up like magic.

I am wondering though, which setting is the fastest mow?
@Crazypostman5 ай бұрын
The widest cut and the fastest speed option in custom that would be the fastest mow possible

@@Crazypostman Well. I'm going to wear out Luba 1 first because I have a feeling even more improvements are coming down the road for Luba 2 and Yuka!

Really enjoy your BRAVE excursions through the Charging Desert! While waiting for your Tesla, I was wondering whether you could put a SEAT atop the Luba, and use it for transport, since the old loaner-truck died on ya? Just a thought. Also, Francis is putting more of their newer chargers in New Mexico - a worse DCFC Desert than Oklahoma. Kudos to any start-up - this is a tough business, and they are trying hard. Regards, and keep doing content. You may be Crazy, but you are doing great KZbins! 👊🤝🎯

@@charleshayden1400 thanks! Can't wait to get the new Model 3 performance! I hear they're awesome! I did a goof off episode a few weeks ago now where I tried to use Luba to pull things. It's pretty stout if it just had some weight. But I'm afraid I would probably crush it if I sat a top. 🤣 Hopefully Francis is putting the signets in out there in New Mexico and not the BTC. I don't know how long you've been watching my channel, but I've made many videos about crappy Francis stations. The signets seem to be holding up pretty good.

My question is: How long will a Luba last? Any thoughts.? I just priced a new rider mower for $3,000.00 like the 8-year-old one I have. It is still going strong. I really like the idea of a robot Luba. But they are pricy for sure. Thank you for your videos. I really enjoy them.

Hard to say how long they will last, My oldest luba is 14 months My other Luba is a little younger than that.

First off, thank you for all your videos with the Luba, I found them very informative. Could you or someone else answer a question I have before I purchase one. I would like my zones to be setup whereas one zone is across the road and my parent's property. But I don't want Luba to cross the road on its own. Is there a way to set this up? Can I just manually drive it over to the zone each time?
@Crazypostman5 ай бұрын
Yes you can do that! Just don't make a connecting pathway. :)

The only suggestion I have is from a video perspective: which is easier to flip? Your lawn or the camera? It took a few minutes to realize the shed location is opposite from the luba screen. Not a real issue, just had to use a few extra brain cells to synch it with the camera recording versus the application showing the movements of Luba. I am thinking your lawn is now good-to-go for a round of Masters golf.

Ahh, I should have flipped the map upside down.

Question: First, I want to say your videos are very informative. I watch everyone. My question is: How long have you owned your Luba? If I buy one, I really need to get 5 - 6 years out of it. Any major break downs? Thank you for helping out.

Quick question. I’m mowing every day to every other day. What speed do you use? I’m using 1.0 to 1.3
@Crazypostman4 ай бұрын
I usually use the fastest it can go and still looking good. If the time doesn't matter then just have it go slow. I use all different speeds so I don't have a good answer for you, I mow the front yard which is over 40,000 ft² on the fastest setting every time I mow it. some of the other sections I have it mow slower and do a checkerboard so it just depends on where I'm mowing.
@RobotMowerTricks5 ай бұрын
I wonder if it wouldn't cut a across your yard if you had "follow the perimeter" turned on. I noticed when it finished the checkerboard it cut across the yard. I know one is with the blades on, one without, but the setting might work for both.

I'll test that, Great suggestion!

did you notice that the app has changed? after the season was over and i replaced the charge base on the lawn (same EXACT location) the app updated as did the firmware(i think) and had to reregister it, when i was done i was able to mow everything exactly as it did last season, HOWEVER it seems that it doesn't like modifying the perimers if you need to, i tried today and all i got was errors that it was broke into multiple sections and to redo the mod (after performing what looked to be a good adjust). i gave up after 14 errors/attempts., but now it dont want to mow that section i was adjusting the perimeter on, so im thinking the update is not compatible with past maps and may have corru[pted it

Hello again, Luba is Constantly saying it is off-line so I cannot control it when I am out of Bluetooth range and like yourself I’m often controlling it from another town. Why is it giving me such a hard time and telling me it is off-line

Best spacing and speed setting?
@Crazypostman5 ай бұрын
To be honest I go both ways haha sometimes I set it fast and wide other times I set it narrow and slow. On my fast cuts I go as wide as 13 and as fast as it goes. As long as I do two border passes at least I don't think it misses anything even that wide. But sometimes I slow it down almost all the way and have it do a double cut or chess board as they call it now and it looks pristine!
@sHuRuLuNi5 ай бұрын
I leave it at standard spacing (25cm) but always set the LOWEST speed - just because for me, watching Luba is a THERAPY :) so I want to enjoy it longer.
