So you went from one money pit to another money pit. Electric cars are not viable unless you plan to use it for local urban short trips. Think small electric car in a packed urban city. Also they are worse for the environment than a gas equivalent. Hey nothing wrong with the explorer. It’s an honest working car that gets you from point A to B. With the ridiculous price of cars we are now lucky to have any kind of car that drives. I’m blessed to have my 2015 Chevy Cruze with 240k miles on it and a clunking transmission but it gets me where I need to go. Oh all this comes from a mechanical engineers son.

Really enjoy your BRAVE excursions through the Charging Desert! While waiting for your Tesla, I was wondering whether you could put a SEAT atop the Luba, and use it for transport, since the old loaner-truck died on ya? Just a thought. Also, Francis is putting more of their newer chargers in New Mexico - a worse DCFC Desert than Oklahoma. Kudos to any start-up - this is a tough business, and they are trying hard. Super valuable info! I am seeing some owners placing the RTK unit in their attic (!), which has the advantages of eliminating exposure to the elements, particulary wind and rain. Apparently an attic placement does not significantly lessen satilite reception (?). Have you tried placing the RTK in the attic? I am going to try an attic RTK placement and will let you know the results.
@Crazypostman
@Crazypostman 3 күн бұрын
@@stevesls007 I strongly recommend NOT putting your RTK unit in the attic. It Certainly does reduce satellite reception. The signal impact does not show up well in the app, Because the app only shows satellites that it can receive, it doesn't show signal quality. You may only lose 5-10 satellites by putting it into the attic, but every single satellite it is still receiving the signal quality will be much poorer.

So had my adventure this morning June 30, 2024. My Vortex plug showed up on Friday June 28 (finally). So went to my local supercharger station to test and everything worked perfect, plug and charge handshake on my Mach E was less than 20 seconds. Had a great fast charge and then went to leave. Could not get the NACS cable out of the adapter, tried for 20 minutes (twice as long as my charge test time where I gained 100KM of range in 10 min) I am not a little guy and this was crazy. Finally called my wife and she brought over a large set of pump plyers, NACS cable came out easy. I then popped over to Princess Auto and purchased a set of welding vice grips got them set up just right and the cable just pops right out. After doing this 3 times with the vice grips it appears I no longer need them as the switch has loosened up enough I can press the switch with one thumb and pull the cable out easy. For piece of mind those vice grips now live in the Mach E.

I'm glad you got it separated. Some people have just had to abandon their $200 adapter. That's the same thing that happened to me the first time it was stuck stuck, and then subsequent times it became easier every time. Now it comes off pretty much normally every time.

The rubber accordion covers under the rotors being ripped is definitely not good. It will now be at risk of water damage, especially if you still hose it off when cleaning. @Crazypostman Good to hear. My yard gets some dirt spots where the mower travels to the dock. So when it is dry out and the mower kicks up the dry dirt. My no-go zones around my trees are also now mostly dirt from the mowers turning in place. Unfortunately, even though I still have multi point turn on for both, they still like to turn in place slightly in these areas. So, over time, the grass dies, and I'm left with dirt. My 3000 with omni wheels isn't as bad as the 5000, but they both do it. And if course, they both love their donuts in front of the dock. 😂 Are you thinking of getting a Yarbo to try and do videos with?
