I remembered playing Super Solvers Midnight Rescue which is the same edition of Reading that was made for kids ages 9-12 when I was much younger before I worked at a commercial real estate company. The Learning Company made it along with Interactive Math Journey, Reader Rabbit 1, etc. Did you know that a nice butcher who worked at a store somewhere up the street from my house gave it to me as a gift on behalf of his generosity? He got moved to a different store a long time ago.

I actually remember this. I turn 21 this summer but I remember that when I was really young I had trouble learning how to speak and I think my speech therapist used this game to help me. Those robots always freaked me out. Pre-school level jump scares are still jump scares.

7:54 - I can attest to this being a real thing. My mom used to make them for me sometimes. Instead of honey and powdered milk though we used powdered sugar. They were pretty good and with the recipe mentioned in this game I'd imagine they'd be even better.

11:42 I know I'm so late to this video, but I just ran into it. To answer your question, I'm pretty sure it runs under the written English rules of "Which title best fits as the main topic?" Granted the four choices do have something to do with what you just read; there's one that is direct, to-the-point, and on-topic. Since this one they were talking about the girls wanting flashlights and why; "Group asks for Flashlights" is the best response. Of course, it's difficult for those who either aren't practiced in the written English language or just don't give much care to proper written English etiquette. Having taught English to high schoolers, I've seen both.

OMG! OMG! This reminded me of a game I played as a child that I completely forgot about! It wasn't this game, but it had the Master of Mischief in it. I know that for sure. I have no idea what it was or what it was about though. Woah, this is such a weird feeling. You tapped into a dusty, incomplete memory and I'm nostalgic about something I know almost nothing about. It's like I can almost grasp something I know I really want, but it's out of reach and in a dark corner. It's kind of joyous and maddening at the same time. :3

Lucahjin, I love you for playing this! I used to play this game all the time. The game gets progressively harder as you go, with faster robots and more pictures needed to find their clues. I loved it so much! There was a math game they made with, I believe, the same characters in a park of some kind, but I played this one a lot more. I would love for you to do more games like this (or, just this one more!) Thanks for the nostalgia trip!

Oh my god Lucah, I used to play this game in school (IN 2004 to 2006). Everyone and I mean everyone in my school played this game because this and solitaire were the only games they had on the Computers (they had Windows 95 but they may have been older). I'm 100% convinced we were the only kids in 2004 that had to use Floppy Disks for Computer class.

I remember playing this series as a kid. My favorite had to be Frozen Treasure Mountain since I liked its ending a lot more than Treasure Mountain's one. I even still get the theme to the spelling bee one stuck in my head every so often. I was also scared of those robots as a kid. The way they could pop out of nowhere so suddenly, especially when your low on time and have no film left, and ended up costing me victory more than once. I am certainly enjoying this retro series. Makes me wish I could go back and play some of my old computer games for nostalgia.

Thank you for sharing this game with us, Lucahjin! I hadn't heard of this before, but I really enjoy watching this one. In regards to the headline titles, you're thinking too much like an actual writer. They don't want plays on words, or attention-getting titles, they just want you to choose the most descriptive option. It's testing reading comprehension, after all.

Oh dear Vasil, this game traumatized me back when I was a very young child. (2-4 years old) Every time I lost (which was very often), I thought that the school was completely destroyed and that all the students inside (the ones that my brain made up and told me were there) were all killed. My active, childish imagination ruined this game for me. Also, I (2-4 year old me) just found *_everything_* extremely creepy, so that didn't help.

Oh man I had a super solvers game for math when I was little and it scared me shitless as a kid! You ALWAYS were alone, in a building, at night, and the devs of these games didn't think that ROBOTS SNEAKING UP ON A KID PLAYER WAS SCARY?! If we remade this series with modern tech, I assure you it'd be creepy as all hell. You weren't alone in being scared of those stupid robots.

Oh my gosh, the nostalgia here! I remember playing Treasure Mountain, the DOS version, from the same series, all the time on the computer in class! I would just use any excuse to get on that computer and play it! It must've been around kindergarten or grade 1, it must've been one of the first games I played! And I loved playing the Windows 95 version of Mathstorm at home too. Heck, I remember finding this game on abandonia when I was still quite young. Gosh, really dating myself there. But this game really scared the shit out of me when I first played it! I must've played it not even once and stopped touching it. But I recently found the late 90s remake of Midnight at the thrift store in a pack with a bunch of other games, and it's really fun!

I know it's a year later, but the algorithm for the questions relating to titling the article are related to actual English stuff in class such as giving proper titles that summarize the article most accurately with the least amount of words needed. that's why some answers look the same but actually are different enough to see which is right.

I think the headline questions want the answer that actually happened. Like for the Drill Team one, the answer was group asks for flashlights because the others didnt happen. Williams never cut off her ponytail, the group never marched in the dark because they were afraid and Friday Night games are dark isn't even the main focus of the letter.

Ohhh, this game reminds me of... something! I have really vague memories of an Apple II game that was sort of like this. You had to go through a building, but there were robots in your way, or after you, or... uh... and you had to trick the robots! Each robot represented one of the senses, like sight or smell. So you'd use inventory items to trick them, like perfume to get past the smell robot, and so on. I don't at all remember what this game's name was or if it ever actually existed. It's also possible that everything I remember from back then is a lie!
