This is my favorite video of Lucas and Elizabeth and after watching season 8 episode 1 makes me love this even more. Love Lucas personality. He gracious, kind, respectful willing to give to everyone despite what they have said or done to him. I really believe even more that she will choose Lucas. She lights up to much for it not to be love. Real love means you want that person to be happy even if it's not with you. I think Lucas mother is going to make them all think. Elizabeth isn't ready for Lucas mother. What Lucas mother said to Elizabeth in the preview of 8/1 makes sense now because Elizabeth didn't make the deadline and thought she got away with doing things her way. Mama is going to stir things up. Again love this video ❤

I asked her about Nathan and she said why would he want to marry her when he's always mad and fussing at her. She likes the show as well. So if a 5 year old can see the chemistry that says a lot

Again I just love it. I just can't see why people don't like them together. They both seem so happy when together. Elizabeth knows more about Lucas than anyone. Because he owns a saloon doesn't make him bad. Kids are in there all the time. It actually is a high class restaurant, bar and recreational spot. He started out a little shaky but that was because bad people were after him. He saved a friend and he cheated to save her. He didn't know who to trust. But since then he has been an upstanding citizen of Hope Valley. He and Elizabeth are a lot alike and I think he would be a good step-dad to Jack and great husband to Elizabeth

This video really captures Elizabeth and Lucas especially now that S8 has started. She does make him feel like the song says. I think we are going to see them really commit to each other within the next two episodes. Elizabeth never look as happy with anyone as she does with Lucas and vice-versa. After watching 8/3 Lucas is hurting not in that Elizabeth didn't tell him about his father but the fact that he's lived a possible lie all his life from people he loved. But we know Lucas will process everything and Elizabeth will realize what he means to her. This was the first time he has been mad at her and walked away from her. They will still be together because we see them on dates in the future. She may have to fight for him this time

I like the fact that he centers his attention on Elizabeth. Only thing is that there's a part of her heart that he isn't addressing..Elizabeth lost a love and has to heal, sure. But any mother knows that the center of a mother's heart is her child especially a baby.

When I read your comment I went back and watched the episode where Lucas first appeared to now. He has always acknowledged baby Jack. When he gave Elizabeth the key to the library he leaned over and told the baby look at all the books you will get to read. They had a meal together at Abigail's restaurant the day Amos Dixon came to town. He won a bear for the baby at the fair. When Elizabeth was reading a Christmas story to the baby Lucas leaned over and said you are making memories with your mother. He calls Elizabeth and baby his two favorite people. He shakes the baby's hand plus he knows nursery stories. When measles hit the town he asked how the baby was doing and what they were going to do while she was off. When Elizabeth was in Ned's store after reading Elizabeth's manual and he leaned over and waved to the baby. When they had the library opening he picked up a book and said he thought the baby would like it. He was standing next to Elizabeth and the baby opening the book as the baby looked at the book. So that's not being fair to Lucas in that regard. He has been kind to everyone in Hope Valley even when they have said very unkind words to him.

@@joanjones6394 acknowledgement is different than being able to care for a child. Nathan actually takes time to play with LJ. Not saying Lucas is a bad person. Even he said he wasn't ready for children yet. Nathan has had first hand experience and knows he needs help when entering uncharted territory. Lucas has very little to fall back on. He told E that his parents were always busy but the family always came together at Christmas. Not a lot of family time to learn from.

There's also an episode where Lucas's mother was crying at Elizabeth's house and baby Jack hugged her and it literally made me cry. Overall I just want Elizabeth to choose. I love the show regardless of Elizabeth's love life. She's a great teacher and gives great advice to others. She's just not good in the love department when it comes to choosing. I love Nathan and Allie's relationship. That's a storyline by itself apart from Elizabeth.

@@jodiwilson1089 there are plenty of instances where people are great parents to children even when they did come from less than ideal circumstances....Lucas is from a 2 parent home..His mother is not the touchy, feely type but that doesn't mean Lucas will not be a fantastic parent....His interactions with Elizabeth and LJ points to him being a great dad

It just occurred to me that the book Elizabeth just wrote where the character Lucas thought was about him is actually a combination of all of them Elizabeth, Lucas and Nathan. The handsome restaurant, card player Lucas, the widower Elizabeth, the pinkerton Nathan and the daughter Allie. And all their struggles. Just a thought 🤔😊

Elizabeth is not ready to marry anyone, she is still dealing with Jack's death. She can date whether it be Lucas or Nathan; I don't hate Lucas I actually like the guy, but he has to slow his row. Allow her to go at her own pace, yes Lucas is caring, generous and all that but he always get his pants in a nickers when he sees elizabeth talking with Nathan or her reaction to Nathan; let her figure out where her feelings are with him and Nathan and stop reacting to everything elizabeth do or not with Nathan.
