Just put it in my 05 pre eagle chrusler 300c i ran 5-30 for awhile because 5-20 would cause low oil pressure and limp mode replaced the sensors nothing ... went to pp 30 no problems for 6,000 miles im back on 5-20 pp low oil pressure popped up coming to a idle rpm at a stop so now i added this lucas high mileage stabilizer 2 days ago so far its running better and idling better no stalling or low oil pressure lights really think this does help alot with flucuating oil pressure gonna see how long this works i have used lucas in the past in transmissions to and always had good luck

In high mileage vehicles wear and tear create voids between parts reducing compression. By adding any type of Lucas Oil Stabilizer you will fill these voids because of it's cling properties to the internal parts. Yes I definitely have say this stuff works as well as other products from Lucas offers for power steering and especially transmission and engine oils . I've had personal vehicles and customer's vehicles that come to me that wouldn't barely move around the driveway and that didn't have the money for a trans rebuild . Change fluid and filter and add 1 - 2 bottles of Lucas transmission slip and bam vehicle went back to being a daily again As for my own same thing and I've used the oil additives from Lucas for a long time now and it kept a bad engine that was so worn out to last another 5 years till I got money and time to get the engine swapped and I do it vehicles that don't even have issues just to add that extra caution as a Extra Protection over the engine between a heavy foot at times or on vehicles that goes to drag strips I would add this stuff to help the abuse and keep everything happy . If anybody wants to see , I have everything on my KZbin channel I use these products and they work and I would never promote anything if it did not work so i can definitely guarantee that it works from experience

Yes, you will substitute one quart of oil for one quart of oil stabilizer. This can be done between oil change intervals if you are low 1 quart, or can be substituted for a quart of oil during a full oil change.

If your engine oil is filled to capacity we do not recommend over filling your system. It is best to drain or syphon a quart of oil out before adding this into your oil.

I have a 1990 4x4 Toyo Truck (V6 / 131,000 miles) with a slow oil leak. Just had oil changed with 10w-30. Can I randomly use this to top off lost oil when it gets a little low? (Maybe a 1/4 cup every other month.)

my skyline uses 25w-60 oil its somewhat built motor and it suffered from idle low oil pressure (at manfacturer minimum) when using 20w-50 (which is why I switched). So is this product is only for low vescosity oils like 20w-30 or can I add it to the 60 weight oil? my car is in the caribbean its hot everyday. thanks for reply

My wife has a Lexus 3.0 V6 and it calls for 5w30. It has 267k. I just recently changed it to 10w 30. I've been a mechanic for 35 yrs years worked in many shops. Its known engines are like new with current oil changes till over 125k. So I'd keep the recommendation of 5 30 unless you feel the car/truck has ran extremely hot it's whole life. I have been adding 1/4 Quart of Lucas Synthetic Oil Stability for every pair of cylinders, i.e. a V6 gets 3/4 Quarts. I have been doing this for almost two years on all of my customers cars. My question is, how much of that Lucas stays inside the engine after its drained?

The amount of oil and stabilizer that is left behind on the internal parts is a microfilm that would protect against dry starts. It is not a measurable amount that would affect the volume that needs to be replenished. Once the oil is changed the remaining product would be diluted to a point that you would no longer receive the benefits of the oil stabilizer without replenishing it with the oil change.

@@raullopez6594 For the benefit to continue add it after every oil change. If you have a 4-cyclinder engine try just adding 1/3 or 1/2 of the container, that will most likely be sufficient unless your engine has a lot of wear or needs a rebuild.

If you are going over 5000 miles per oil change then you'd be better off with the synthetic version of the Lucas oil stabilizer so as to be compatible with the longer oil change interval or consider going with LubeGard Biotech Engine Protectant which is already in synthetic form.

I use it in the Daihatsu/Toyota 1KR 1.0 12v engine too (in the Toyota Aygo here in Europe) and it really helped. It won't harm the engine, but you shouldn't use more than a 20% mix of the Lucas in an engine as small as the 1KR.

For a 3-cylinder engine, start out slow. Add only 1/4 of the container and observe the results for a few days. If you are satisfied with the results when using only 1/4 of the bottle then do not add more, just stick with that amount. Keep in mind that this usually results in increased engine oil pressure so you don't want to overdo it. Too much can result in oil seeping through your valve cover gasket. For most people with 3-cylinder engines, between 1/4 to 1/3 of a bottle has been more than sufficient. You can also get similar results from Hy-Per Lube Oil Supplement as well as Triax High Mileage Oil Treatment.

​@Larry Hurley It can harm it in a situation were it jacks up oil flow to the point it clogs. The stuff is thick as molasses and I imagine an old engine built for very thin oil could disagree with it. Granted very unlikely but that's "how" it could cause an issue.
