At first I thought "Oh great, a Christian song" with a negative sounding voice, since most Christian themed songs are 'interesting' and not in a good way, but then I realized "wait a minute, this is Lucas Riccioti, how can anything he makes be bad?" Yes, but It's better to provide the full context of what Jesus was saying. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ So, what's the will of the Father? John 6:28-29 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” 1 John 3:23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The Father's will is that we believe in Jesus' salvation. We are not saved by works, but by faith. Good works should come after faith in Jesus’ salvation, not be a way to earn it. That is why it is more important to spend intimacy with God and in his word than to do good works to try to please him.
