After almost a year after it's ending, I can honestly say Rucas was the better couple. During it's run, I was a Lucaya shipper because I got caught up in the fandom and theory videos. But after watching the series again, I realized Rucas was a very healthy and mature relationship that was just amazingly realistic and amazing. This is what young girls should strive for in there future relationships. They always sacrificed their relationship, so they wouldn't lose each other. That speaks volumes for there love for each other.I also believe that Maya and Lucas just wasn't attracted to each other, and were just friends. They always gravitated towards other people. For Lucas, it was Riley and for Maya, it was Josh. BUT LET'S BE CLEAR HERE, just because I ship Rucas, doesn't mean I ship Joshaya. I hate them with a burning passion. I believe Maya deserves better. I believe Josh was manipulating Maya, for his own benefit. I ship Maya and Farkle together. I believe Farkle would have treated her so well, and I believe they would've been compatible as a couple. But Smarkle is cute too. All in all, Rucas was a great couple, they weren't perfect, and had problems but they worked hard to get through them, which made them that much stronger as a couple. Rucas was a boring couple and not realistic at all. Remember the episode where Zay first comes to town, Riley learns about Lucas's backstory and immediately gets mad at him. Maya accepts him no matter what and chooses to trust him, while Riley doesn't trust him and must pry the truth out of him. Maya accepts him for who he is and loves him blindly no matter what. Meanwhile, Riley is in love with the idea of Lucas. That is why I ship Maya and Lucas over Riley and Lucas. However, I respect your opinion.

You may disagree with me, but I feel that Riley only likes Lucas because he is handsome. Whereas Maya likes Lucas for who he is. Plus their ship was too problematic.
