So hi!
I made this bc I saw this video • Video and I thought it could be a good idea to do a rucas and lucaya video. But not about their story apart, but their (rucas) story since the whole triangle started. I know people are gonna say that I missed some clips, but I tried and I have school and some other things to do. I put at least the most important moments, I think. I spent days in this and I had a lot of headaches bc of this.
If you are here to judge, leave. This is a fan-made video and I did what I could. I won't allow fights on the comments below.

One can see how hard Maya tried not to admit to her feelings, not to show that she likes Lucas, Maya tried her best to make sure Lucas and Riley had a good relationship because she knew Lucas was going to pick Riley no matter what. And here, Lucas makes it clear he likes Riley, then the campfire scene. It just confused her more. And she also confessed to Riley where Lucas was trying to hide it. Anyways, now in real life we have farkle and Maya as endgame so ✌

The whole reason Lucas and Riley end up being together is because of Maya. From the day on the subway when she pushed Riley to Lucas, and when she said to Lucas “If you like me, go and tell Riley that you love her” It’s all because of Maya, and because she cares so much for Riley. And Lucas does what Maya says and confesses to Riley. Because of Maya. Maya is the best friend anyone could ask for.

Lucas knew Maya didn’t really like him like that. She lost herself for a while there. She was taking on Riley’s personality as her own so she got confused about her feelings. He was just waiting for things to work themselves out between Riley and Maya because if he’d made his true feelings known, he’d have hurt their friendship. He wasn’t willing to let them lose each other. So he helped Maya find her own voice again so he could be with Riley without causing irreparable harm.

Pay attention Riley's concerns were real in what she said with Lucas regarding their connection, why do you think Riley wanted to be brother and sister with Lucas? Shipping is the worst mistake because it set them up to fail. I shipped lucaya but Maya was actually right to choose to be Lucas friend instead of girlfriend it was a road Riley was forced down once she got on with Lucas Rucas ship meant Riley and Lucas detriment and Riley knew. this just makes me mad because maya and lucas were so blind. riley is a naturally giving and kind person, she would obviously step back for maya. did maya really just go in for it, not looking back for a second? she blindly believed riley didn’t like lucas like that because that’s what she wanted. i love maya, but she was selfish. she didn’t even stop and think, “riley getting over him that quick doesn’t make sense.” because like she said in that one episode, the head and heart one (i don’t remember what it was called) maya talks about how she goes through life by feelings, and riley said she uses her head. riley was hurting herself emotionally for maya and lucas, and they blindly and ignorantly went along with it. lucas moved on from riley to maya in literally seconds. he was telling riley he didn’t think they were “brother and sister” and then in that exact same scene, he’s all in maya’s face in some romantic moment? lucas has never, ever mentioned anything about liking maya. they’ve shared moments, but those to me were brother-sister moments. my point is, riley had to deal with this and the only person who even noticed was farkle. because he knows riley. and that’s why i ship riarkle, because he knew her enough to understand how she felt, he tried to help her while maya and lucas willingly hurt her because they didn’t even stop to think about her after the campfire.

Riley was cute and all but he could never really have an "adult" conversation with her which is what he always had with maya. When in the end she told him that he picked her all he could do was stutter and his face looked like he got caught. U can check there's a huge difference between his facial expressions in both scenes But he went to riley because maya was selfless enough to let him leave her when she truly had connected with him emotionally which is what riley and Lucas didn't have. I think the series was trying to show that as a kid u might like one person but as ur growing up u can fall for another. Rucas was a childish love but Lucaya was more mature and real.

I really don’t like how the triangle ended. Lucas picked Riley for the subway. Maya pushed her. Riley said she liked him. Maya told her to do that too. What Maya did was so toxic.. Maya pushed Riley in Lucas' lap and she was there for Riley when Riley was catching hard feelings for Lucas and then Maya suddenly has feelings for him too?? Anyone remember how in Girl Meets Texas Part 2 they went dancing, right and Riley was talking about how she doesn't want to go out break up and never speak to eachother again, what if Riley is afraid that its Maya Lucas is choosing the long lasting relationship with by choosing her to be friends with only instead, what if this is saying thats how BMW/GMW universe works? I think the episode in conjunction with the Simiformal episode means that the Lucas and Riley thing doesn't last but the friendship with Maya goes on? Riley seemed terrified to not be brother and sister and I think that had to be the reason why.

I don't have anything against Rucas I just don't think that he is happy with Riley they still act like they are friends nothing more I'm sorry that is my opinion I'm a Lucaya shipper but like I said I don't have anything against the ship I just don't see any chemistry between Riley and Lucas and when they "resolved the triangle" they didn't resolve the triangle they made it more complicated because there is still Lucaya moments. The thing I don't like is that they say maya changed into Riley you can't change into another person it's just not possible you just grow up that's life you are not going to be the same person you were in middle school you change.

i know im in rucas territory and im a lucaya shipper, but i have one thing to say. Why does lucas sound confused when maya tells him to pick riley if he was originally going to pick her? If he really wanted to pick riley, he would have said something like, "I do love her and then hugs maya." He is taken so offguard by maya, which could mean that he was going to pick maya before maya gave herself up.

To me and my best friend happened the same thing. There was this new boy and she told me she liked him. I tried to get them together but I kinda caught feelings for him too. I hide it. I told myself it’s not real. Then some bad things happened to my best friend. Her dad who she never met before did some bad things and she needed someone. She started to take her pain as an excuse to meet him. She wanted him to feel bad for her. I told her that that’s not her and she should stop. She didn’t. She tried to kill herself and I found out because her crush told me. I asked her why she didn’t want to tell me. She said she didn’t know why. I felt bad. I stopped having feelings for him but he invited me to his bday party. Just me not my bestie. I went there. Because she wanted me to go. At the party he tried to kissed me. I left and my best friends moved. After summer it was weird at school. My best friend was gone and I felt like I was gone too.

When Maya said that she knew that he had chosen her, his reaction wasn't good. While when Maya tell him to find Riley, he's happy. He seems relieved because the only reason why he didn't tell Riley that he had chosen her earlier is because he didn't want to hurt Maya because he don't like her in that way but like a sister. Plus even Maya said after that that she didn't like Lucas, she only liked him when she was in Riley's mindset and not Maya's mindset.

It's was always Riley. He already made his decision he just couldn't say it because he was afraid of hurting Maya and Maya understand that later and that's why she tell him to go to Riley because otherwise he wouldn't have choose.
