This game makes me so nauseous you guys! I’m currently at a loss on what to do. I’ve turned off what I can on the PS4 but, somehow it still ends up making me sick for a good while after playing. I’ve never had motion sickness from a game before only ever in the car so this is new to me! I may have to just play shorter sessions in the future. 🤢

seems like some people got motion sickness in re7, some people say that ginger or ginger tabs or ginger tea may help with motion sickness, since the usual meds make you groggy

Similar thing happened to me a few years ago with some random game I don't remember. I remember reading about video-game motion-sickness during it, and some of the advice I remember was to sit further from the screen and occasionally look away for a little while. I seem to remember it being caused by something along the lines of your brain being too focused on the screen and the game, and seeing movement, but not feeling any kind of movement in the body, therefore believing you'd been poisoned or some such. It's been a few years, so I don't remember exact details. Regardless of how and why it all works, I hope the advice can be useful. You could always google video game motion sickness (also called simulator sickness), and you'll probably find some ways to solve it.

It doesn't really matter, as the game forces the player to die in the birthday puzzle room in order to find the "loser" password. So whether you watch the tape or not, you still have to do it twice.

I'm really conflicted. Some people enjoy the feeling a horror game brings, and I know you amplify experiences when playing games which is one of the reasons it's a joy to watch you play. BUT.....I can't say I would enjoy watching if you're no longer having fun especially if it's a health concern that really prevents having a good time. I say I'm conflicted cause you're really good at playing, you're calm when you can be in combat even panic shots seem to land. Either way, it's your decision

Yeah. You missed the tutorial video in that one room that would have helped you bypass much of Lucas's party shennanigans. Other than that, you're doing pretty dang good. Oh, those coins, use them. Anything you upgrade, helps.

Here's a tip: There was a video tape in Lucas's room up in the attic in a closet right in front of you when you climb up the ladder. It has an important clue which will help you solve that "Happy Birthday" puzzle. Look closely at the video because you'll have to do everything to complete the puzzle. Remember the password. And finally when you play as Ethan you don't need to do everything. Just put the password, turn off the water and light the candle. Also one more thing, when you play as Ethan, do not pull out the winding key from the barrel that has oil in it.

Few quick tips: 1. GUARDING with your arms blocks a lot of damage and reduces the stagger from getting hit. Always GUARD when you're about to receive any type damage Weather it's projectiles and explosions or 8-foot tall monsters trying to bash you into the ground - GUARD. That's the type of game this is. :) 2. The ONLY reasonable way to kill slime monsters with firearms is via headshot using 2-3 bullets with the handgun or 1 shell with the shotgun. Any other way is pretty much a waste (besides a knife). So try to only shoot at the head from a distance because only then they move in a predictable pattern. When they get in hitting distance they start moving a lot and are pretty hard to hit in the head. In some cases, after you shoot them they will start their running attack and close in on you. If you don't have space to run away you can GUARD. This will also make it easier to hit the slime thing in the head as it calms down for a second after it attacks. (At melee range you can also use the stabbing attack with the knife to go for its head as it saves bullets and it takes the same amount of hits as the handgun to kill it. And don't forget to GUARD.) 3. There are some hidden places which contain stat boosters (steroids/ stabilizer). One of which you need the 'Toy Axe' for. - One of those places is in the 'Main House 1F, Drawing Room'. The reward is 'steroids' which permanently boost your health and also fully heal you when used so you could also use them as a one-time heal if you need to. To get them you'll first need to get the treasure photo located in the Processing Area on the metal shelves near where you found the Scorpion Key. - Another one is in the area between the Main House and the Trailer hidden inside the brushes. There you will play a shadow figure-matching minigame that requires the toy axe. The reward is 'stabilizers' which increase reloading speed permanently. It's actually really handy to reload quickly since you do it quite often and usually in a dangerous situation. 4. The burnt body you found with the words 'YOU'RE NEXT' was a previous person who Lucas put through the same trail in that room. You can watch the videotape before entering the trail. Once you watch it you realize that the puzzle will inevitably kill you unless you know the password for the door 'LOSER' in advance (which you do from watching the videotape) and don't remove the crank from the barrel spilling the oil which sets the room on fire. Hope this helps you some. Love the channel. You are doing awesomely and don't ever let anyone or anything tell you otherwise. Keep on rocking! Marz, a little info regarding the last puzzle you did. You missed a very important video tape in the attic in Lucas' room that would have shown you this puzzle before actually undertaking it as Ethan. It was in a cupboard as soon as you go up the ladder. The puzzle is tricky without watching that tape first, just thought I'd give a heads up for next time! Love this series!!!

the puzzle is the exact same whether you are playing as ethan or clancy. you still have to die in order to know how to beat it and to not have to take the winding key so it really makes no difference.

@@guitarman0365 actually you're wrong there. The video tape is exactly what you need in order to know to NOT take out the winding key, because it shows you burning alive from the oil that was lit. That's the entire purpose of the video (apart from giving the backstory to clancy).

@@Viruz32 You didn't read what I said at all. I said playing as clancy(from the tape) or ethan the result is the same you die at the end because of your ignorance to the puzzle. Whether a player finds the tape and plays as clancy or doesn't find the tape they still have to experience the same events of going through the puzzle and dieing( you just wait for the respawn as ethan) but now in both scenarios you now know the password so you can skip all that BS and go straight to what is needed. So being annoyed you did not find the tape doesn't matter it's the same result you have to go through to beat the second time around. Get it?

All it does is explain what happened to him because later you find his burnt body. Knowing what happened to clancy tells his story, AND prevents ethan from dying. My point is that you don't have to die as ethan, the person you're actually playing as, which is who matters most. Playing the tape allows you to know the password, which allows you to skip the winding key part. I think you should re-read your comment, because it sounds like you're saying "you need to die so it doesn't matter", where you don't really need to die as Ethan. You just need to know what happened to clancy in order for that NOT to happen to Ethan. Get it?

It's optional (and a bit repetitive) to go back to watch the VHS tape at this point, but making Ethan watch the tape before he enters Lucas's trap makes more sense from a storyline perspective. Otherwise it makes it seem like Ethan magically comes up with the solution for the puzzle.

This game may be scary for you but it's a comedy for us because of your reactions. The look of relief on your face at 35:45 when you make it to the safe room cracked me up. Haha! You can block the molded ones attacks. If you put your arms up to block they do far less damage. Also I think if you pull back on the left stick and press X at the same time, you can do a quick 180. Check the controller arrangement to double check that.

Man, those puzzle solving skills though! It seemed like you had it too :( That Lucas is a little trickster piece of you know what! Lol And I say do what makes you feel comfortable and keeps it enjoyable for you. If it's shorter gameplay, then that's totally understandable. The game already wears you down with all the jumpscares and grossness, and adding motion sickness to that just doesn't sound like any fun at all! A New Adventure with Marz in Resident Evil 7, and actually I impressed you are the only person who solved the Puzzle without finding the VHS Tape, Huge respect for that, you did everything right but you missed a very Important thing and thats the Happy Birthday VHS Tape, in Lucas Room at the Attic, if you are able to find that VHS tape earlier that saved you for a lot of pain & suffering, in the Video you played Clancy with this Saw based Puzzle, and when you played Ethan again, you already know the password so you dont need to do it again, there is only one Important things need to do as Ethan but I think you already know what it is. And I am sorry to hear that your motion sick again, I support the idea to record much more shorter episode, or take a little break, because your health is much more important, but just let you know you already beat Resi 7 in 60 %.

what do you mean figured it out? it's literally the same steps you would do in the tape as clancy. either people find the tape do all that shit and die so they now to avoid it or they miss the tape go through all that shit and die and then they know how to get through it without needing the winding key. it's the same result no matter if you have the tape or not you still have to die to learn how to get through it the only difference is dieing as either clancy or ethan.

If you watch the video in Zoe’s trailer, it would have you go through the Lucas puzzle with Clancy. He was the burned up guy in the chair. By watching the video, you would already know the password and wouldn’t have to go through all the steps to light the cake. Unfortunately you had to go through it with Ethan instead of the video of Clancy. There’s one crucial step that you need to avoid doing in order to properly complete the puzzle. Don’t want to give it away, but hopefully that will give you a bit of help so you don’t die again.

Another amazing awesome but long video by you and there is a way to do the happy birthday puzzle without dying : light the light the candle, burn the rope on door, use the code loser, get valve and put in the turn spot in the cake room and put the candle on the cake I hate that puzzle when I first played this game

Hey Marz, when we say take out their legs you want to shoot them in the knee caps until their leg is blown off. It can take less bullets to maim them and prance away than kill them. Also, remember everything you just did you at the end. No spoilers but don't forget what you did before.
