Background: While MX left that damned world, he moved to a world where Luigi was completely different, depressed and upset. MX couldn't figure out if it was Lucas and stayed in his distorted form for a long time. Eventually, he realized that it wasn't Lucas, but Luigi, and when he saw Mario's dead brother, he realized what had happened. So he decided to end Beta Luigi's suffering and killed him by crushing him. (After all, MX is not such a nice demon, but a terrible demon who killed a child without remorse. Personally, I see this ending. Well, although I'll be honest, here MX seemed to kill Beta Luigi in order to end his suffering over the loss of his brother and that's why it turned out the way it did.)
