This song hits so hard. I'm not the man I once was and it feels so good. Lucero has been a very big part of the soundtrack to my life for a very long time and I can't even put into words how much this song means to me.

A cold and early dawn For a man gone so wrong Another lonely way of wasting time So late into the night It wasn't long ago I was counting my days With anger and boredom and fear and pain Back then I just wanted to even the score The pain doesn't translate the same anymore I'm not going back again I'm not the man I was back then I will start again I will start again I'm not going back my friend I'm not the man I was back then I couldn't slow it down I know I got mean I couldn't feel a thing, they couldn't touch me None of those young girls could understand How slowly killing oneself takes A toll on man I'm not going back again I'm not the man I was back then I will start again I will start again I'm not going back my friend I'm not the man I was back then A cold and early dawn For a man gone so wrong Another lonely way of wasting time So late into the night I'm not going back again I'm not the man I was back then I'm not going back again I'm not the man I was back then I will start again I will start again I paid for my sins I will start again...

Someone explain this video to me! Watched it at least 100 times and still confused. What did he see why did he run back? Who hit him
@rustybaker92014 жыл бұрын
Zach T I feel like he was “walking” back toward his Demons which he had become accustomed to, notice the struggle and difficulty of the first path, I feel those are the little everyday things we battle that are not as hard to overcome as we believe, then “seeing the light” through the trees, he started his new journey, notice he runs past his old footsteps with ease and before he struggled with every step, then the fire/gloves/coffee/ represent his self improvement, his new found strength, maybe im way off but I feel every lyric and moment of that video from my battle with drug addiction. Hope we all see better days -R.A.B

You are completely right i believe. He ran back towards the old self with ease running as fastbas he can. Only thing that i can't stop asking now is he ran back to the camp but then it either flashback to him getting hit or it's justba reminder that vices drugs anything hit him

@@rustybaker9201 I feel the opposite. He wakes up from being hit, with an apple core and a piece of red fabric, alluding to the girl in the "Can't you hear them howl" video. He struggles hard to walkaway struggling with each step. Running from your addiction and demons is hard. Something happens and he runs back quickly and easily. In one scene across the same vista, even chased by himself in a never ending loop. He runs back to the comfort of his addictions or demons as shown by the warmth of the fire and the coffee. He again gets blindsided and wakes up face down in the snow only to once again face the Sisyphean task of picking himself up again.
