Dear El Rey Network. You want a season 2, we want a season 2, so lets have a season 2. I know it can be pricey, but seriously we will help pay for it if we get more of this. Do a Netflix Deal, merchandise, DVD/Bluerays, Kickstarter, anything. Believe me, we'll buy it and buy into it; because this show deserve your money, this show deserves our money, and failing to deliver a season 2 would be a crime against wrestling, a crime against good story telling, and a crime against entertainment in general.

Love this show. Haven't had this much enjoyment in the world of professional wrestling until I started watching this show. I don't remember being really invested in any of the other promotions as much as well. I hope season 2 comes out real soon. I can't get enough of Lucha Underground!!!!!!

Razor Smith Um part of the reason Lucha is so good is because it has writers. Competent writers. WWE fucks itself in the ass when they constantly write over their own scripts throughout the week until there plots are degraded to: 1. No one being sure what the fuck is happening or what direction they are going to go. 2. No solid build manifesting and as a result seldom payoffs that often feel weak. 3. Horrid constant filler programming that has no rhyme or reason and results in nothing for no one. 4. An utter lack of continuity (often), which really comes across as a lack of finer care for what they show on TV. Lucha works so well because they actually write their programming well. They create the payoff ahead of time and build and project to it competently, which in turn makes the show immersive and enthralling. You get the feeling watching their show that they actually KNOW where they're plot is headed unlike WWE, which often feels like wandering aimlessly in the dark and hoping for a glimmer of light to shine through. Obviously they know how to book their workers well and make them look great consistently, which is an important aspect as to why the show is so good. Honestly though, I'd say the line between a "booker" and a "writer" in Lucha Underground is thin and rather transparent. I'd like to think it's a huge reason for why the cast is always portrayed rather well in contrast to the WWE, they don't have to suffer from the politics and backstage ball fondling that often comes into play when dealing with a booker as opposed to a cohesive writing staff.

Jessica Victor One of the other advantages that Lucha Underground has over other companies is that, early on, it did away with as much pretext of existing in our reality as humanly possible. This is a program where you can have a luchador who transforms into dragon, where a supernatural woman with a fondness for licking things can control an army of undead monsters, and where Dario's brother can kill off multiple people, and the world is built in such a way as to support that. Indeed, if the WWE tried some of these storylines they would come across as ridiculous. If TNA tried them, they would inevitably screw them up. They didn't do the worldbuilding, and at this point they are both so established that they can't. It's an advantage and a unique, defining trait that Lucha Underground will always have.

***** Right on, it's a all a show, albeit a damn good entertaining one, but the story lines escape reality and I LOVE that about this show. It's like video game come to life with crazy fantastical luchadores, but the in-ring work is just as amazing, and combining those two things makes the show AWESOME.
