IMHO Valentini Terrani 's Eboli is magnificent, very elegant, wonderfully sung but passionate at a time. The voice is not the one of a missed soprano like as many of her collegues are but she's a real mezzo. Also it is a pleasure listening to the two best friends Valentini and Ricciarelli sing again together. Thei color of their voices mixed wonderfully

I enjoy Terrani and although she did a fine job here it’s just serviceable. The voice seems a bit overwhelmed by the scale of it all for her lyric contralto.
