Maybe im old school but coffee / tea spots are always my go to just because its low pressure. Who knows maybe there’s better first date ideas out there. I just never want someone to feel a lot of pressure off the bat.

Just grabbing something to drink and go for a walk together. That way you are not crazy bound to some kind of activity and if the date works well you can be spontanious and go and do something else. And if it's not working out which you figure out in the first few minutes ... it's easy to end the date!

I never really dated in high school, but I was in one long term relationship during college. It lasted 3 years and ended like a year after we both graduated. The breakup was rough, but after a year of dating in my 20's I met my now husband (on Tinder btw lol). He knew he wanted to marry after 3 dates, we got engaged after one month, and married after 10 months. We have been married almost 2 years now, and I have never been happier. I am so glad you know exactly what you want. It definitely helps weed out a lot of potential partners. Best of luck on this new chapter! :D I hope you find your person!

Hi Lucia! I really resonate with your video as someone who also moved to and dated in NYC in their early twenties. I always dreaded dating here because of so many horror stories I hear from my friends and online, but ultimately, I think being intentional, knowing the kind of person I look for, and being open-minded really helped. I found my person on a dating app, learned so much more about myself, and couldn't be happier that I put myself out there. I hope you have a ton of fun and wish you all the best!

it's just like trying to get a job. A job or any type job doesn't appear to an individual, you got to seek it with the intention that you will find what it is that you are looking for. Don't wait for things to happen, you got to make it happen. I think I stole that idea from a podcast 😂

Loved this so much! As someone who also has very very similar dating standards, I will say it is possible to find someone who aligns with your values. I wanted someone who respected & supported my career ambitions, was conversational and pursued their own hobbies, knew how to cook & clean and willing to be equal with household chores, and also had blue eyes 😅 my partner fits all those things and more. The last two years with my partner have been so much more than I could have imagined and I’m so happy I knew what I was looking for in a partner and sought that kind of relationship 💚

How exciting Lucia!! It’s perfectly normal to be nervous and full of jitters, there’s that element of letting someone in, not wanting to be hurt or facing a date with zero compatibility and cringing the whole date! It sounds like it was wonderful and obviously enjoyed each other’s company to spend 2 and half hours together!! That how my first date when with my hubby, it was just ☕️ coffee, lol! If you find yourself thinking about him with an occasional butterfly , well that deserves a second date!! I’m so proud of you!! Trust me when you meet the right guy, they will not infringe on your space try to conform you into anything, they simply fit right in, and you find yourself lifted up , supported and find interest in similar passions and ways to grow. You have a lot going on right now, and the right guy will understand and support. You are a gem and deserve to be treasured!!!

I respect you wanting to find a life partner and not just dating around. Keep in mind, men can evolve just like women do. A man close to your age may not be quite there yet. Find someone you’re attracted to who has similar values. They may not be perfectly fit, no alcohol, open minded, a high earner, want to stay in the city with a career wife, etc… That kind of guy is a unicorn and have their pick, and they know it. Also, they might be a-holes. 😅 You’re a catch and it will work out in the end. 💕

U said something in one of ur videos about u wish u would have been more lax when u were w ur ex. And I think u need to go into this w some flexibility & a let’s see where this can go attitude instead of this is what I am looking for etc. I was not looking for a husband when I met mine. I was just dating for fun when we met & he swept me off my feet. U can make a list but the truth is it’s probably a mixture of both. Spontaneity & a list of wants. He might not have everything on ur list but he could b perfect for u. U just don’t know so b open to the possibilities even if he might not look perfect on paper…he still could b perfect for u.

Good luck! Dating is only a nightmare if you allow it to be. Have boundaries and standards and you'll move on from the crusty losers quickly, and eventually, you won't even go out with them. Always FaceTime with a guy before going out with them. You can't know how you vibe from text. You'll save yourself a lot of time by FT beforehand. Don't drink on dates. It weeds out the alcoholics straight away and there are a LOT of them in NYC. Also you're only 25 - your frontal lobe has only just finished developing. You want to make sure your brain is fully formed before you decide to legally bind yourself to another human being!

Question: I would think tricky to find someone raised Catholic who is spiritual, but not religious and not conservative in certain regards? I am Christian. Do you see yourself having a live in Nanny for your Kids or? Did your Mom work full time Corporate? Will you be able to keep working full time & getting your MBA? I have been same with Alcohol last couple years. Just extended the cleanse, out of curiosity. So much healthier for the body! So wouldn't want to be with someone who was a daily wine drinker. Not that you asked for my opinion lol but in case you are. Ive been with my husband for 10yrs and while my goals are different than yours in the fact that i crave tradition and traditional gender roles...what i will say is that ive met a lot of women who say they dont want traditional roles but then in reality they want their cake and eat it too for example the man picking the date and paying for the meal and being "traditional" but then arent a traditional woman...does that make sense. that is the only big problem ive seen anyways...give mixed signals

Okay my last comment I promise😂 I just have a lot of thoughts on this subject. But when you said “a lot of guys just want a stay at home mom” tbh that exactly is actually not appealing at all to me, in the slightest. Whats really attractive to me is meeting a woman who loves her job & wants to continue to work towards her goals in that job or dare I say has more career driven goals outside of it too. I’ve already dated someone in the past who had that stay at home mentality (didnt date her for that, it was a decision she changed her mind on while in the relationship) & it seriously killed me

Jaybird, did you not even listen to what she said? She said that her last relationship was with someone in college that just felt right at the time. Now she is looking for her forever person, not just the next person. I mean, how long would this entire video take if she said, “Hey, guys, I’m going to start dating again after going through a horrible breakup and this time, I am totally looking for someone that doesn’t feel right but is Mr. Right. See you on the next vlog!” She used to look for tall, dark and handsome. Now she is looking for a brain, a gym membership, a large income, and a rosary. And maybe a little kindness.
