So human, so accessible, warm and kind. The world is a very unforgiving place without this brilliantly gifted man. R.I.P. Maestro Pavarotti. Greatly missed.

Pavarotti looks so well. 😊 And sadly not long after he passed away. I loved the way he took away the snobbery of opera and brought it to working class to enjoy. The snobs were not happy lol

How lovely was this? The so obvious respect of the good interviewer and the thoughtfulness of Pavarotti's responses made this a lovely session and a treat. Pavarotti left so much of himself with us - both musically and otherwise - his generosity of spirit will be with us for a very long time to come. I loved seeing and hearing this, thank you.

It’s sad watching this now knowing that the cancer that killed him about a year later was probably developing inside him at this point. What an amazing career he had. One of a kind voice and personality.Very missed in the opera world. I consider him the Mohamed Ali of opera.

Lucky he didn’t know what ‘Ricky’ Bonynge thought of him in his later career. The Bonynge interview on KZbin is remarkably nasty.

Agreed. The interviewer asks him to tell a story about Pavarotti and Bonynge gossips about how he ate an entire chocolate cake. After all those years performing with him and that is the story you tell?

Wonder why it never happened singing with Maria Callas ? Was she playing hard to get ? Was she afraid of his talent and knowledge ? She didn’t suffer fools gladly and didn’t hold back when a tenor would give her a hard time. Even out singing somebody on stage. It would have been great....
@musettina6adina2243 жыл бұрын
There were talk, they should have sung a Traviata together,but she had second thoughts, probably not feeling up to her past talent and fame.
