I heard different singers and versions of this song, but Pavarotti's interpretation with Boy's Choir and complete Orchestra could not be equaled in our time. There is only one Pavarotti with his famous world renown voice. God Bless Luciano.

Yet "Bread of Angels" is problematic, as the Gospel and the Eucharist are not for angels. 1 PETER 1: 12 " _ _these things, which now have been announced unto you through them that preached the gospel unto you by the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven; which things angels desire to look into."

This version is the first one that I had ever heard of this music, during a PBS telethon no less. I was so floored by this that I bought the album and sent them a pledge. :) The quality here is not the best but it is still one of my favorite's. I just love his phrasings and clarity. Now I don't have any musical training so don't bother arguing with me, I just know what I like and I can't have a technical discussion with anyone.

@@livesquad2810 Based upon that performance I purchased an LP called "O Holy Night" with Kurt Herbert Adler and the National Philharmonic. It was recorded in Britain in 1976 at All Saints' Church in Petersham with the Wandsworth Boys Choir and London Voices. The catalogue number appears to be OS 26473 if that helps.
