So, for folks who don't know opera, Pavarotti is one of the greatest Tenors in opera history. I could list many of the top Tenors in history like Caruso, Corelli, Bjorling, Gigli, and in more recent times two of Pavarotti's fellow Three Tenors Jose Carreras, and Placido Domingo. The Three Tenors CD is amazing. Now, the aria "Nessun Dorma" (Nobody Sleeps) is a benchmark aria for top opera Tenors because on the last VINCERO they have to hit and hold the "Tenor B4" note. IMO the top two arias for Tenors are "Nessun Dorma" from "Turandot" by Puccini, and "Vesti La Giubba" (Put on the Mask) from "Pagliacci" by Leoncavallo. Check out Mario Lanza doing "Vesti La Giubba", it's awesome. Yes, I'm an opera fan.
