This was awesome!!! haha Yes, I have re read a few of mine from sixth grade. I mention in my diary: to whoever might read this, my future husband or boyfriends, future kids, anyone in the future. Sometimes I think it is a way of realizing how alone you are in the world, always looking to "future" people. Like a time capsule. I even wrote to future me which is so interesting to look back on.

I still have ALL of my diaries since 7th grade to this day and there's like more than a dozen of them. And they are all full. And quite detailed. And I still do write to this day that I'm in my 2nd year of college. Am I a total weirdo? No, just rare. Its a great tool to actually track how the days and the years gone by had changed me & grew me into who I am now. And its also great to be able to remember all the memories & lessons.

But nope, no future letters to kids as I didn't like boys and couldn't stand the thought of having to live with one(cause hey, boys imply boyfriends imply husband imply kids). I think I had 3-4 different diaries with different friends lol And yes, looking back to our childhood diary was fun (and embarassing 🤣). This is so cute! I wish I could do this and relive what I am when a as kid but unfortunately I cant. I have this box way way back where I put all of my precious childhood memories like pictures, letters, and toys. But one day I found the box and it was empty! I was screaming and I found out my mom threw away all of the things inside the box. I still cant get over it thats why im glad ur mom didn't throw any of your childhood things :)

That is so awesome your parents saved all of your stuff. I've lived in the same house all my life (30 years) and I still have a few old diaries and posters. I read through all those things and cringe. 😂 Edit: I also had a password journal and a few of those electronic Casio journals. I should see if I can find them.

I never really did the diary thing. And, my parents usually kept essays that I wrote (my Dad was a high school American English teacher & my Mama was a nurse). My Mama still lives in the same house that I grew up in. My room is now her room, her room is my adult daughter's room & my brother's room is the 'accessories room', ie hats, purses, shoes. LOL Besides the bedrooms changing, the kitchen & front bathroom were remodeled a few years back. Due to Hurricane Matthew hitting last year (& a tree falling on the house), the landscape has changed. My Mama is in the process of re-landscaping & doing even more remodeling to the interior. Even though it's not the exact same house that I grew up in, it's still home. Sorta...
