The average American anesthesiologist makes $400K/year, not even close to $1.3M. She's not just an anesthesiologist. She's an entrepreneur and probably runs multiple clinics, with entire staffs working under her. This isn't just a regular random doctor at your local hospital.

Many, doctors included seem to forget, I/we are their employers. Which by the way you are as well with your doctors. As for "Nothing wrong with seeking wealth through legal, safe means," safe for who, her patients? And that depends on your definition of "legal." You've got to be totally naive and kidding. Accumulating excessive wealth at the cost of patients in this country, many of whom lose their jobs, homes, cars, and lives due to not being able to afford care? Given this is epidemic in the U.S., for any doctor to have the money she brags about while this goes on daily, it's a sure bet they've sold their souls and ethics along the path to that wealth.

Gardener for the garden, plumber for the plumbing, financial manager for the money. For what it's worth, the average person would do very well investing their savings in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) which are like an easier version of the stock market and they appreciate at a rate of about 4-6% annually.

Really? How is that a positive thing? You can tell she's bitter about the divorce cuz she keeps trying to justify it in one way or another. If that's how she is in real life, then I don't blame the guy.

Mickle Mous it’s common sense ! I mean it depends on their custody agreement but whatever. If it’s 50/50 then he would need a babysitter just as much as she would? And I’m SURE she uses babysitters.....

Love this! As a future pediatric nurse and someone who has always lived with a family that didn't have much, I truly appreciate her advice at the end. It keeps me as a 16-year-old to keep pushing for my dreams so I can live the life I always wanted too.
