How can it take you 12 years, that's so wrong. In Germany it takes you 6 years, yet the doctors in the US aren't even better. What do they do in the other 6 years?

There’s never a good reason to pay interest if you don’t have to. So, spending $80k on a coat when you have $80k in debt charging you $4000/yr in interest is what makes that a weird purchase.

You'll notice she mentioned her financial advisor. Once you are making serious money (let's say $250k+ a year), you don't manage your own money-- you leave it to professionals. Gardener for the garden, plumber for the plumbing, financial manager for the money. For what it's worth, the average person would do very well investing their savings in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) which are like an easier version of the stock market and they appreciate at a rate of about 4-6% annually.

Michelle Guajardo Honestly, if I had that kind of money, I would much rather spend it on more ethical (environmentally friendly) clothing. I get it if you want to save money and get a good deal on clothing, but I feel like people tend to forget the negative impact that fast fashion has on the environment. I’m by no means a perfect shopper, but I like to at least be more aware of what I’m buying. All I’m saying is that if u can spare a couple of dollars to buy better quality clothes that will last you for a much longer time and produce less waste, why not? I’m not criticizing this woman’s choices. She can do whatever she wants with the money that she’s worked really hard to earn. Props to her👍 If u want to learn more, I suggest Levi Hildebrand’s Better Brands videos that you can find in his playlist. They’re really good videos that I think deserve more love
