As a recorder player I’m constantly in trouble because my fingers soar all over the place. But, as you say, she manages to make it work even though her fingers are all over
@austin75 жыл бұрын
Because the recorder is such a flexible instrument, keeping your fingers close to the tone holes has a great effect on the intonation (more so than on the clarinet) P.s. I play clarinet and recorder(:
@a.7889-v8f5 жыл бұрын
But aren't the key holes in the clarinet not only larger (meaning it's harder for your WHOLE FINGER to land on it properly if you're playing super fast) and secondly, perhaps the fact that you have to stretch your hands much more to reach all the keys on the clarinet? I figure those two things would make what she's doing here difficult on the clarinet?

I've been showing this to my fourth and fifth grade classes to demonstrate that this instrument is, in fact, a legit musical instrument, not a little kid's noise-maker. Even though few of us will ever play at your level, your music inspires us with what is possible. Thanks so much for sharing it.
