All the people in the beginning of the video are just friends he has in his phone (and he has MANY celebrity friends - from Herbie Hancock to Chris Martin, as you pointed out, to David Crosby of Crosby Stills and Nash - his mother and sisters also contributed - in fact that last last highest note is his sister singing it - not him). Jacob asked them to sing the word "moon" on some note in a Bb chord - he actually asked them to record it as video on their phone - and then arranged it, and then when he made the video the production company took all that footage and matched it up/ This dude's sense of harmony and blend is otherworldly, but I sure would love to live on whatever planet he exists on! Thanks for doing a reaction to this!

Hi Lucie, I had watched you reacting to Ren & Chinchilla and then I saw you had reacted to Jacob Collier. Both are amazing artists, totally different. Jacob is definitely worth further investigation, try his live Stuff, Fix You Cover and his Tiny Desk sessions, mind blowing talent, imo. Thanks for your reactions 🙏

This song won Jacob a Grammy. He has won at least one grammy for EACH of his first FOUR albums; the first UK artist to achieve this (not even the Beatles did). Welcome to the JC rabbit hole; enjoy your stay. There are innumerable videos from Jacob which display this seemingly limitless supply of talent and creativity. Try “ The Flintstones Theme” or “Don’t You Worry ‘bout a Thing” or “All Night Long” if you need suggestions.

Although this classic Henry Mancini song from a 1960's movie is a relatively simple song, you'd be more floored if you understood all the musical complexities behind it. Not just the crazy visuals and overdubbed complex harmonies but the fact that it has changes in tonal centers and tuning systems outside the normal A440. Part of it is in a non-existent key G half sharp which can't even be played on a standard piano because it's "in between the keys". If someone thinks music theory has to be dry, this song completely disproves that idea. Other things to check out are "All Night Long" where he plays some of the 20+ instruments he plays, "Hideaway", "Wellll", "All I need", "Bridge Over Troubled Waters", or the Mahogany sessions "Little Blue" where some of his fans act as an "audience choir". That's something he does at concerts like in this example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gquUfXiPrauEa7M
