hmmm I have to say that unfortunately you are correct, the modern trend is to be negative towards women and is possibly driven by some quite sick influencers with a very nasty idea of relationships. As a married man of over 50 years I have no time for these people ( I had to hold back here and keep a little niceness in my words). These influencers are creating a generation of very disturbing males and I can only hope something changes. Perhaps Angelina can be the catalyst but some how I think these people have become entrenched in our society. I love you reactions because they are so genuine but I despair for our society.

Hello Lucie. Thank you for your very moving reaction to this masterpiece by Angelina, and for your heartfelt comments. Concerning your opening comments, I am deeply sorry that you had to endure really bad experiences. And yes, I acknowledge that many men do fit the negative profile as related by this song. But this song was co-written (along with Toby Gad) by BC Jean, who was referring to a specific individual with whom she had just broken up. Not all men are selfish, self-centred and uncaring and there are, in fact, innumerable men who are completely devoted, caring and loving partners and parents. And not all women are faithful and blameless; believe me, I know this firsthand. There are good and bad on both sides. As an Ob/Gyn physician for over 40 years, I have devoted my life to caring for women’s health, and it is my uncompromising and unshakeable belief that women are God’s most amazing, complex and beautiful creations. To me, taking care of them as best as I could is an unparalleled honour and a privilege, and even after all this time, I never stop being amazed by the astounding complexity of women: physically, physiologically, mentally and emotionally. Even after all this time, I continue to be blown away by the miracle of childbirth. I am acutely aware that just being a woman exposes you, daily, to trials and tribulations and daunting challenges that no man has to face, and I am continuously, profoundly impressed by the strength, courage and wisdom with which women tackle these challenges. I pray for a world in which all women can feel safe 100% of the time, and achieve genuine, lasting love, happiness and peace of mind.

I like Angelina and even more when she is accompanied by soft instrumentation, like in this case. This way I feel Angelina herself and enjoy her voice a lot. Wonderful reaction, Lucy, my Father was an awesome example of how a woman should be treated, and I took my ques from him. I have 2 daughters and 7 granddaughter's and one grandson. God gave me a wonderful wife, and we have been together for 36 years, and we all listen to Angelina. I have always defended women when necessary. And sometimes it was physical. Most of the time, it was more of chastising them like little boys because that's what they are. Grown men acting like schoolyard bullies.

A cover only in the sense that what Beyoncé made was a cover of the song written by BC Jean and Toby Gad, originally performed by Jean in 2008. Beyoncé's cover was that same year. In this video the pianist is Toby Gad .. the Piano Diaries are a celebration of his hit songs. He invited Angelina to England with him to perform .. this is the sixth version I have heard. When we compare Angelina Jordan to other singers we are asking the question: do other performers make us feel a song like Angelina Jordan does, and for me in my 77th orbit around the sun, no one on earth can compare with AJ. So many sick people out there.... Stay strong!! This one is wonderful, but the vocal part is a studio recording.... Did you recognize this is the same vocal recording as the "pop" video has? But the pictures are giving another vibe. Since a few days there is a real life recording from this song in this church on Angelina's official page. No surprise: that's even better as this one is.

Lucie may l share some personal experience regarding men and women. First l have 6 sons and 4 daughters. Of my daughters, none have which have been Assaulted by men. 4 of my sons, have been assaulted by women..I'll share the one with my son Gideon. He and his girlfriend Dasha were going to get married. Dasha was pregnant, they had been together a 1and half years. When the baby came, both families were at the hospital. Our side looked at the baby and knew instantly it was not Gideon's. I secretly got a DNA test, which ( as Mori Povich would, say " you are not the father )." In fact, l used the exact same DNA group as Mori, for accuracy. So l meet with Gideon, showed him the results, he confronted Dasha as he was moving out of their apartment. Dasha brought her mom with 3 of her friends, swinging a gun at Gideon and his brothers. Fortunately, Noah dis armed that crazy girl. She even tried to take him to court for child support. My other sons have similar experiences. I have male friends, who in a divorce are not allowed to see their kids, because the courts are stacked against them. I don't usually go on a tyrate, but since you took so much time at the beginning, l thought l should as well. I really, really like your reactions, until now. Their is no anger, just info in my comments. I am a super fan of AJ, her performance here is perfect, but l have always hated the stereotypical references in this song. I'm so glad she did ,BAD VALENTNE ", to balance this out! Be just in your assessments. Perhaps in your country what you say is true, but it is not been in my experience,to be true here in the US. I strongly recommend you check out the book " SELF MADE MAN", by Norah Vincent, a journalist who went under cover as man for 18 months. I'm not doubting your experiences, please don't doubt mine.
