As men, we are supposed to be tough. Strong. And unwavering. Etc. But here comes a child/girl. Very young. She has shattered the norm . As men , she made our eyes leaked , released water. Got our faced wet. All those things to avoided saying ( ( cried) She gave us Goosebumps, shivers . Tingles. Hairs stand upright. And all that. Think. Go back in your past. Can you named a singer or singers who ever did that to you. It’s so hard to get her out of your gut. Heart. Mane your soul too

Thank you for this wonderful and emotional reaction, Aron. Even though I have listened to it dozens of times, I'm moved every time. Angelina, a unique girl with a amazing and sweet family around her, they are truly a wonderful reality. I deeply love this girl's sensitivity and her ability to pour it into her lyrics and voice is simply sublime. This is a very sweet, deep and very intense song and dedicated with infinite love to the missing grandfather jut some months before and to all the people who have lost someone. In the same time it's also a song full of hope and sweetness, with beautiful lyrics write at only 13 years. Angelina is never what you expect, she is always beyond, she is outside the standard, however high those can be.💛🧡❤

Her version of "Million Miles" was a tear burst when she finished. It was slowed down and beautiful. Then 2 months later i lost my best friend ever. This song means a lot and many Angels want this song played when they pass on! In her lyric video it is told tears fell down when recording. I love your thorough reactions. They are great!. I have supported Angelina since NGT 2014 (voting for her win) and i am so happy the world is about to discover her, feeling proud of her! Love from Norwegian subscriber:

You would need to have no heart and no soul to NOT be moved to tears by this song, let alone by this video. We have all been mesmerized by Angelina's unequalled, almost uncanny ability to poignantly express the emotions appropriate to songs about events or situations which she herself has never experienced. It is thus no wonder that she can tear us apart when it's a song about her own experience. What broke me completely was when she held up the shirt, looked lovingly at it, then held it to her heart before reverently folding it away. Beautiful, heart-tearing reaction.

I think Angelina's most emotional rendition of this sone was her slowed down live performance at an outdoor concert in Norway after the Pandemic. In this video her uncle played her grandfather and her younger sister was her younger self. The notebook she shows contains the original version of the lyrics she wrote. The shoes were her grandfather's, as was the sweater, and the portraits in the hallway are both her grandfathers. Also, my condolences for your loss. Very much like you, Angelina often brings me to tears as her voice instantly connects me to suppressed emotions.

What you experienced is what makes Angelina so incredibly good. She makes a connection with each of us as individuals-not as an audience. Angelina lays her heart open with these lyrics, and we all feel them because there is no more universal theme than loss of a loved one. And like most songs she’s written, the overall message is positive. Life throws challenges at us, but there is always a reason to look forward.

It’s more than just the song. She drew the story boards for the video. So the concept of this video is all hers also. She’s 14 in this video. This is the first song she recorded with Republic Records. It’s rumored that Monte Litmon, president of Universal Music Group, overheard this song and inquired about who it was. When he listened to the song in its entirety he immediately asked to sign Angelina up, asap. This song was basically one of the primary reasons she’s with Republic Records. That, and the fact they offered her the freedom her and her family had been seeking with regard to protecting Angelina and allowing her to control her art and to grow up before they started promoting her. She’s a force of nature that can’t be resisted.

She has said that when doing the first studio recording of this song she had tears and almost broke down! As others have said, you must at least watch her live performance in Norway. She slowed it down and then with the last belt, she shocked everyone. Even the band was surprised, especially the base player! I have heard and watched her performances of this song hundreds of times and I still have tears every time I hear it! As great as Angelina is and as young as she was when she wrote this song. I truly believe that in her life she will write and perform many great songs that she will be remembered for for hundreds of years, but I would be surprised if this one is not remembered as one of her absolute top songs! it has already had a healing effect on untoled numbers of people!

"This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine." -Angelina Jordan This Angelina original holds a special place in the hearts of fans. Most of us have experienced a loss like this at some point, and Angelina's approach to dealing with sorrow and pain while remembering the beautiful and great experiences with the departed loved one is very helpful to many. Angelina dedicated it to her grandfather, but it is also meant to comfort everyone in the same situation. This music video is great - as are the other two versions (lyric version and black and white studio recording) she released around the same time - but I feel like the pain and sorrow were still too close to her, and overshadow the intended consolation. It's different with the evolved version that Angelina performed in Kongsberg and Kurbadhagen last year - there's still sadness, but the comfort now outweighs it kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKqlhqeJqatpa9k It's also interesting because she talks a little bit about the meaning of the song before she starts singing. And one is for sure - for this song and "You are always on my mind" they should indeed put a very serious warning on it that it takes some tissues to get thru thees songs. btw the link to her original video in your description box is wrong (probably accidentally copyed from your "I'm a fool to want you" reaction.

👣This song was first released as an animated artistic video, created by grandma Mery. It is a beautiful and very telling video, and the moon also has quite a central role in that one as well, as we see young Angelina climbing a ladder to aproach the moon, and her beloved grandfather, - or perhaps even just her memories of him. Also when Angelina got to performe this song live (out of studio, that is) some 2 years later, at 16, as she finaly was abel to return to Norway after covid restrictions, to fullfill her long delaid consert plans there ( - or rather HERE, as I should say). She then slowed the song down, quite significantly, and was abel to put even more emotions into the song. Made posibel for her as she had the time span by then I guess, since her grandfather passed. You should also go listen to these other versions, even though I think the "Live in studio" version also is used as the audio-track in the MV you reacted to here 👣 🤗

Angelina, just a 14 year old in her element writing a song about missing her Grandpa and killing it! The lyrics are most likely from her journals, she accompanied her Grandfather-he was Japanese-in Oslo when he went out to help the needy! He also told her to never regret what you do and the reference to the Moon is because the Moon holds a very important place in Japanese culture! I believe this was her first song released after signing with Republic Records. Uncle Michael and sister Juliette in the music video. The live version is out of this world, the last belt is still reverberating in the heavens! kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZ2rYYN5abV4hrMsi=2_QLYDjvXuus2qIm She displays so much empathy and humility a true role model! That lady’s and gentlemen is pure class🇳🇴🇺🇸 She stated that she hopes this song helps people deal with the loss of a loved one, something to that effect!

Thank you Aron for your beautiful reaction, going forward tissues are recommended at all times, you become bonded to AJ you can't help loving her like a family member, because that's what she will give you, she sings and writes for the world, she understands that unconditional love is the only freedom because she is the embodiment of it , and it colours everything she touches, she is a pioneer, blazing a trail for others to follow , at her first audition on Norway's got talent when the judge said "You are music" it is true but it is also true she transcends music carrying a light of hope. 💜👣😇

When AJ was 1st recording this her producers leaked it to the head of Republic Records which is how she ended up signing with them and because of how much they wanted her they met the family's requests in the contract. There are 3 versions to this song, this one, a storyboard and a studio type (the best version personally). For a live version, her concert last year, she slowed it down and the 'crying out' part, she carried it out longer. She dedicated it everyone who has lost a loved one. When she sings Always On My Mind, at home, she dedicated to grandpa, and she did breakdown at the end.

There are many big fans of Angelina like me that just cannot afford to pay for subscriptions. We are not living in America or Europa and cannot afford their currencies rates. Many of us are pensioners. Its also difficult to believe all the "facts" of the fans. Some are not correct. If her paternal grandfather died when she was 12 , I would like to know who watched her in the AGT video when she was 13 if her paternal grandfather died when she was 12. It was definitely not her maternal grandfather. The cell phone photo of her grandfather on the couch when she sang a Elvis song as a tribute to him, was her maternal grandfather. It was the same photo as the one against the wall of her room when she also performed a song and looking at the photo and the photo in this music video in the house where she looked at it.

Hi Aron. I'm making a siggestion to you, if I may. I'm not sure whether you have or not but if you haven't check the live performances of this song She did both in Kongsberg, that I attended, and Sandefjord on the summer of 2022. As good as this official video is does not compare with the live ones. We know She's at Her best on stage. She does some unwordly things in the live performances that She doesn't in this one. If this moved you, those will break you to tears. I know. I was there and I still get shivers just remembering that day.✨️👏🫶👋
