Greetings from Scotland! Hi Lucie! This is not Julia's normal voice but because Toni Braxton is a Contralto, this is how the song should sound, so she lowered her voice considerably, and did a great job! Of course, for Diana this was far easier as she is a natural Dramatic Contralto. BUT together they gave a wonderful performance. This is much harder than it appeared because neither artist could see each other OR hear each other properly until that central wall lifted! Both artists had to endure a severely distorted voice in their earphones until that wall started to lift! VERY impressive performance. Julia and Diana are friends from back in 2021 when they were both contestants/judges on "ShowMASKGoOn" and Julia was that lady in RED who had a shocked look on her face when Diana opened with her performance of "Can't help falling in love". ----- Привет из Шотландии! There had been no joint rehearsal and the audio-feed they received was distorted to prevent them from recognising the other's voice, Only when the dividing mirror was raised could they properly hear each other. Julia was one of Diana's fellow contestants in 2021 "ShowMaskGoOn." Famously, she was the contestant/juror in red who put put her hands to her head to express he shock and awe at Diana's incredible performance of "Can't Help Falling in Love." Even before the show Diana admired her - she said after hearing her fulsome praise of that performance "You know it is mutual," but as the show progressed over its nine rounds they became, and have remained, good friends. So here, in this duet, the joy they expressed upon realising who their partner was when the dividing mirror was lifted was genuine. Juliet came fourth in ShowMaskGoOn (which of course Diana won). Some of her performances moved her fellow contestants/jurors to tears, including Diana herself. A good example is provided by the remarkable, and spectacularly staged "НА БЕРЕГУ НЕБА" (On the Shore of the Sky), the video of which is posted on the YT channel "Weit Media." The rules of the show are such that until the “wall” is raised between the participants, they do not know with whom they are singing, and instead of the voice of their duet partner, they hear a distorted voice in the earphone (squeaky - this is how the participants themselves most often describe it). Naturally, no rehearsals with each other - complete improvisation. For Yulia, this song turned out to be very familiar, and Diana (before) had heard it only a couple of times. It’s a very difficult task to get a duet in the end, but the girls coped with it just great!

Условия шоу такие: отсутствие знания о партнере по дуэту, 2 часа на подготовку перед записью эфира, искаженный мультяшный голос в наушниках до поднятия зеркальной стены! очень тяжелый и жесткие условия! Интересно как бы звучал этот дуэт после недели совместных репетиций!
