Божественно! Очень очень проникновенно! Шоу "Дуэты". Зрители,конечно,знают кто поет. Но Диана и Юля слышат искаженные голоса.И по голосу не узнаешь кто? с тобой в дуэте.И только когда поднимается стена они видят друг друга. Каждый исполняет свою партию. Вместе они не репетировали ни разу.Класс!Спасибо за реакцию.

Greetings from Scotland! *Neither singer can hear the other properly because of distortions in their headsets. Only when the central wall starts to lift is the distortion removed and the singers are finally exposed to each other! They have no idea who their partners will be and rehearse separately when preparing!* A very difficult task indeed! Both Julia and Diana did very well!

They do not know who they are singing with , they have a distorted partner 's voice in their headphones .The real voice appears when the mirror rises and they see each other. The goal of this show is to perform the song as well as possible in a duet without rehearsing together. Complete improvisation. The distorted voice of the partner in the headphones is very disturbing to the singers. The condition is that the participants must know each other well. Julia and Diana were members of the "SHOWMASKGOON", where they became friends. Они не знают с кем поют , у них в наушниках искаженный голос партнера .Реальный голос появляется когда зеркало поднимается и они видят друг друга. Цель этого шоу как можно лучше исполнить песню в дуэте без совместной репетиции. Полная импровизация. Искаженный голос партнера в наушниках очень мешает певцам. Условие - участники должны хорошо знать друг друга. Юлия вместе с Дианой были участники "ШОУМАСКГООН", где подружились

They didn't know who they were singing with. Their voices were distorted in their ear pieces. Intil the wall between them was lifted. That's why you can see a puzzled look on Julia's face at times when Diana was singing.

No they did not know who they sing with, even their voices are distorted in their ear pieces. The audience know but they do not, only after the wall is lifted they hear themselves correctly. They do not sing from the back of the throat, that is their voice type, Tony and Diana are Contraltos, Julia is a Mezzo.

Toni Braxton is a mezzo and most likely the other girls too bc of the tonal quality and density. He's right they are using tonal masking through laryngeal position, soft palate, vowels, etc., which makes them have a much darker sound. This style of singing allows them to lower their tessitura. It's good for them that they found their style, as he says, and good for those who like that kind of sound too. If you want to her real contraltos listen to Alison Moyet or Carrie Smith and compare the density it's a big difference, they don't mask their natural tone. Sorry for my broken english.

Oh you deleted your answer but I'll reply to it anyway. You can clearly see how her larynx lowers and hear that yawning sound. How low or high you go doesn't define your voice type, tessitura, tonal colour, voice density and passaggi define it. Moyet doesn't sing all the time in her lower register yet she has a dense G#2 and not airy low notes like these girls. It's easy to distinguish.

@@letijp I deleted it because i wouldn't bother debating with someone who heard only one song from Diana and came up with all the wrong conclusions, we will talk again when you have a good idea of what she is capable off. Talking about tessitura, go check her at the age of 15 singing human and wicked game or at 14 singing Rechenka, she does not sing extremely low there but her voice is dense and thick because that is her voice. no yawning or whatever else you imagine hearing. The next thing i am going to hear from you is that Cher is not a Contralto either... Go watch Peter Barber's channel who is an operatic Bass he dismantled everything about her voice step by step in several videos you will realize what is happening with her voice. He also says that she is a Contralto by the way. Diana herself said multiple time in multiple interviews that she is a Contralto, even her speaking voice is huge and deep...

That was in minor key I think. Also Diana has this voice naturally, she is not trying to sing in front or back of her throat. Even Julia has a kind of similar voice I mean deep but in different category.
