The music in this show is practically a character. Whoever made the musical choices is a genius, and helped make the show something special.

@chanelle5889 so true! Music adds so much to atmosphere and breathes life into a fictional world. This one sets up a very particular vibe that I'm enjoying immensely. Kinda dark, sleek, sexy, playful, yet soulful. It truly does sound like the playlist of someone who is not evil but still damned anyway.

The actor was in a Disney Channel Original Movie called Alley Cats Strike about a school bowling competition. I recognized him by the eyes

Yes! I actually looked him up after my recording session, and that's the movie I remembered him in :D Those eyes are quite striking and unique. The combination of darker skin and lighter eyes is absolutely gorgeous!

Jeremy Davies, the actor who played Nick the paparazzo, also played Daniel Faraday on LOST, one of my favourite shows, and a great one to react to! Would you consider reacting to it?
@nebulousreactions28 күн бұрын
@TorontoHobbit I've actually already seen a lot of Lost. I had a huge crush on Dominic Monaghan as a teen so I watched it mostly to see him. It was an intriguing premise and the performances were great, but I had issues with the actual storytelling. I think the show only survived as long as it did based on good casting and the actors doing an excellent job.

I am so glad you are continuing with Lucifer. I am already thinking of jumping on Patreon to continue the full journey with you but do you show the full episode of Lucifer on Patreon or do we have to sync up our own versions to your reactions?
@nebulousreactions28 күн бұрын
@celiafox350 I'm so glad you're enjoying the content! I do not offer the source copy and you have to sync your own, unfortunately. I'd love to, and know I'd get way more patreons if I did. But I just don't feel comfortable setting up an income stream based on illegal activity they could crack down on at any moment. I have bad enough anxiety issues as it is 😉 But I do appreciate you even considering it. It means a lot that people find value in my reactions.

Some advice: When you ask a question, make sure to let the commenters know if it's rhetorical or not. Otherwise, someone might answer with a major spoiler. Keep up the great work!

That's valid advice, thank you :)

@@nebulousreactions I know this from one reactor who was on the final season of Lucifer. She asked one question out loud, and some guy answered her IN DETAIL. She apparently was doing a quick turnaround on her reactions and posting, and had not seen the next episode. Ruined it for her . . .
@nebulousreactions27 күн бұрын
@rowenatulley852 Ugh. Some people are so clueless (or occasionally just mean-spirited, if it's intentional). I had that happen once. In editing I even added text stating to NOT confirm if the prediction I was making was correct, and someone STILL spoiled it. Bleh.
@LordGrokken27 күн бұрын
Change is a theme, it recurs often. It's good you are taking notes, the writers certainly did and not a spoiler but episodes you see now will have effects later.
@nebulousreactions27 күн бұрын
@LordGrokken I'm glad to hear early events have far-reaching effects. That's a sign of solid writing. Something that irks me in shows is when events don't have consequences, and when characters are treated as plot devices. It makes the world feel artificial and lackluster, because it doesn't ring true to our experience. And I think with a show like this, with a real world setting but major fantastical elements, it's extremely important that the world and characters feel authentic in the way they're written. So far, this show is nailing that.

I'm enjoying your reactions! Just fyi, this show doesn't pull from Jewish lore in regards to the devil. Judaism doesn't actually have a Devil figure like christianity.* And we don't have an Amenadiel either. *In Judaism we have the satan. The word satan (pronounced sah-tahn) means prosecutor. In Judaism, the satan is basically a tattle-tale who prosecutes people, telling God about their misdeeds in arguing for them to be punished.
@nebulousreactions25 күн бұрын
Glad you're enjoying the reactions! And thank you for clarifying that. I was curious to look it up myself, to see if Amenadiel actually is a figure from Judaism or a fictional character entirely, but I was afraid of running across show spoilers. With my luck, it would happen! :D
