This scene..it just hits me in the heart. This is after he finds out that she actually almost sent him back to hell. And that had really messed him up. That all he wanted was her love and acceptance, and she actually lied to him and was working against him. That’s why he was drawn to Eve, she knew who he was and didn’t for one second turn away from him. And in this moment right here...bleeding and in horrible pain, his only thought was that Chloe did actually care if he’ lives or dies. She did actually put aside that he’s the actual devil. She did actually love him and would sacrifice herself for him, even knowing he’s the devil. In a room full of people, her pure instinct was to save the one she loved. And it made him sooo happy.

It was obvious I agree. I think people miss what really caused Chloe to react the way she did when she found out he was the Devil. Everyone who had found out has had s moment of fear (except Eve, but she was literally born into the Devine world), but for Chloe it wasn't just fear of the Devil. She loved Lucifer, that was clear when she put herself between Peirce and Lucifer shield him. The moment she realized he was the actual Devil I can only imagine how hateful of herself she felt. She must have felt Evil herself, to have fallen for the Devil. She probably felt corrupt and unclean. She got her head on straight and put that aside, but her reaction was understandable.

I felt like the moment she realized she instinctively acted to protect Lucifer, she also realized she excepted him for who he is. In that moment she wanted to kiss him, she knew right then she loved him. Incredible scene made more incredible by what she does after. She tells him she understood why he didn't want to keep working with her. Meaning she knew she hurt him a lot. She goes to Amenadeil and makes sure Eve is a good person. Meaning she wants to further protect Lucifer from harm. Once she finds out that Eve is good, she says Eve is what Lucifer needs. Meaning she knows Eve gave Lucifer the acceptance that she did not and wants him to feel loved even if it's not from her. All of this only happened because Chloe finally realized the real reason she freaked out was because she found out she loved the Devil. She wouldn't have feared him the same if she didn't love him.

The music this season is fucking fire!! Not just the songs that Tom Ellis sings but the music that plays in the background of certain scenes. I know everyone is freaking out over the fact that Chloe decided to jump onto Lucifer in order to save him, which is really sweet and awesome of course, but God the music in this scene gives me chills. When Lucifer says how she was willing to sacrifice herself in order to save him, it cuts back to Chloe's face where she just states at him with unspoken emotion, and the music kicks in. Such subtle music to overlap the acting, but it really helps symbolize Chloes thoughts and feelings in this scene.

Seeing the intro to this episode the other day sucked me back into watching some episodes from this season. Probably my favorite episode intro in the whole series. With no context going into it, it was completely unhinged in the best way: two great (and great looking!) female characters making out, an apparently near-death Lucifer turned on while watching that, and Decker contemplating the meaning of life in a sandwich. I feel like there’s something missing between this and when she sees him again. I have this head canon that she attempts to revive him until Dan starts pulling her away as EMTs rush in. She watches in vain as they attempt to revive him. What she doesn’t see is little spikes on the heart monitor the further she gets from him. Once she is outside, Dan is talking to her about everything, trying to get her to focus, and the next thing she knows is someone is telling her that Lucifer is alive and asking for her...leading into the scene that comes up right after the above video

Ok so people are confused a bit on Lucifer’s vulnerability yes if Chloe is close enough to him he can get hurt. But when he does he can heal fast but doesn’t mean he doesn’t need medical attention after even when she leaves he is in pain but his rapid healing not Superman healing for him is more like this should take a week to heal but like in 2 days. He ain’t going to automatically heal when she isn’t around just like when he got shot in the hand he was still hurting when she wasn’t around
