Hell isn't fiery pits and pitchforks, it's reliving your greatest sins over and over and over again, imprisoned within your own guilt and self-loathing for all eternity
@MK-ib4dp3 жыл бұрын
That doesn’t even make sense because many people are able to turn off their guilt. Rationalization is the second strongest human drive! Rationalize all the bad things you do as necessary. It’s a fictional show for entertainment purposes. It has and always will be. Too many people are unable to separate the two. Entertainment & Reality. Perhaps, you let your emotions get in the way? Believe anything they say because they’re good-looking and funny and rebellious? You don’t go to hell based on how guilty you feel. You go to hell when you’re judged by God. Thinking too much with the right part of your brain?
@FerretJohn3 жыл бұрын
@@MK-ib4dp Best fiction always has a few grains of Truth is it. Yes, people rationalize their bad deeds all the time, whether it's choosing not clean up their bedroom or murdering a hundred people. But while you can bury your guilt, and in some cases bury it deep, you can't really turn it off, not unless you're a full-blown Sociopath, there's always a part of you that still knows your excuses for doing what you do is a lie.
@adverumthegreat47363 жыл бұрын
@@MK-ib4dp None of this necessarily exists anyway, in the end its a story we told ourselves. For a moment let's assume it does though, and let's assume this version of Hell (in the show) is correct. People would still go down there and still be trapped for all eternity. If you didn't feel guilty about something, you wouldn't be down there in the first place. And some people are so self-loathful they can't forgive themselves anyway, trust me I know those people and I'm sure you do too.

@@MK-ib4dp there’s some biblical accuracy about the Devil stated in Lucifer, like the fact the quote “of course i speak Chinese, I’m the devil,I speak everything” in season 2 quid pro ho episode is based on the fact that Satan can speak every single language and dialect created. And about 1,000 yrs in hell or heaven is a month or so on earth as Tom Ellis also stated in a season4 episode,.

Carlisle is a very interesting villain... he claims to have had no choice in the incident, that anyone else would've made the same choice even when the surgeon proves him wrong, he keeps rationalizing it away. When he finally comes to hell, what's his punishment? To face the guilt and regret he feels for not doing the right thing, over and over again... Because deep down... even he knew he was wrong, he just couldn't accept it.
@evedaslayr Жыл бұрын
He would have died had he tried saving the person, did you see how fast it blew up? Just because someone is guilty doesn't mean they belong in hell...we see this when Dan goes to hell or Charlotte is taken to heaven despite us knowing she would have gone to hell! At the ending of the show we see Lucifer try to save lost souls
@Timeward76 Жыл бұрын
@@evedaslayrthis is not an accurate portrayal of the event. This is the torture hell created out of his own guilt, based on his own warped perception. Carlisle in his own mind is still trying to justify himself at the same time as he feels the crushing, shaming guilt of it. And that just feeds the hell loop further. Especially when you consider what he actually chose to do, save his papers instead of the driver.
