The first time I watched Adam and Eve's reunion scene in the bar it didn't even strike me that I was looking at Pierce's parents. It had to sink in for a minute.

Damn this show with its parallels....in Season 4 Maze was comforting Eve when she broke up with Lucifer now it's Lucifer's turn. I knew that Ella was going to be upset with the gang, she felt left out.

You know, i always thought, "that's what the casting director thought God would make Adam look like?" The Maze hits it with, "God had to start somewhere..." 😂 Also, Inbar (Eve) did her require stint in the Israeli military, so those moves are all her.

I feel for Ella here. Of all of them, at least on paper, she'd be the one that could handle the news (which at this point is only barely a secret anyway) so it's got to hurt that they didn't tell her. (and Maze looked stunning in her wedding dress - of course Maze could wear a sack and still look stunning :)

The "toxic masculinity" virtue signalling (adam) in this episode was woke BS. Toxic masculinity is just weak, immature men acting like children. I am masculine, but as with most "real" men, I use it when and where it's appropriate. Masculinity is a necessity. (The overwhelming majority of the time, I am kind, considerate, and empathetic)

Again, Rory pisses me off. I mean, I understand that she was in a lot of pain, but a) She told him that she wasn't going, so he probably didn't think he would show up, hence why he went to help Maze. If he thought Rory was considering going, he would probably have let her know what was going on. Maybe even included her. b) Rory, no one told you about Lucifer's game nights with Trixie because it only happened TWICE. Your sister was exaggerating. c) I understand being angry about him not showing up for Chloe being on her deathbed, but Rory made it about herself. "You will always pick someone else over me." So, she's angry because Lucifer wouldn't show up to Chloe's deathbed to be there for RORY? Way to make your mother's death all about yourself. Also, HOW THE HELL DID ELLA FIND OUT!? We never know!

We only _saw_ game night twice but Lucifer mentions in 5x04 that "The Detective _always_ comes to game night" (my emphasis) so it clearly happened more often than we saw - nobody says they "always" do something that they've only ever done twice. And Rory's just super angry. She sees everything through the lens of being abandoned _for her entire life_ so I get it even though for sure, she's not being fair.

Yes. As I said before as well, she is all anger and zero brains, because she actually timetravelled back to kill her father as revenge for never having been around during her childhood, as if that was not stupid enough, she does all that even though according to her own account her childhood was wonderful because of the many loving people she spent it with. So her being angry about the little things is no big surprise, angry is her default mode. Gotta say, whoever wrote her character thinks the audience is a brainless lot and that kinda offends me and I feel sorry for the actress because apparently she gets a lot of heat for how that role turned out.

I didn't like the way they wrote Ella in this episode. The fact that she said "I already believe in that stuff", as if there was a progression. A religious person would think of themselves as they know heaven and hell and god and demons and angels are real, they take it a knowledge not a belief they "already" have. Also, in all this arc she ignores that god himself told her she shines so bright he can see her al the way from heaven and only focuses on the things she has not been told. That is not like the Ella from all the seasons starting season 2. I understand how they use the character for the plot of these episodes, but it seems to me a little like a betrayal to the character that I knew from before.

I agree, she made a big deal of not wanting to know back when because that would destroy her faith and I always had the impression that this was why they never told her. How she found out, with a little white board and a stinky frog... I don't know, compared to the map that Reeze had earlier in the series, her project looked pretty lazy. Ella's turn is just one of the reasons I never liked this episode, plus Adam being taught "wokeness" by Linda of all people (???) and the drama between Mace and Eve like a cheesy 80s romcom.
