You are so perceptive! In my comment to your last reaction, I didn't mean for you to change yourself - I was just worried about you and trying to give you some forewarning that things like the death of Rhaenys are going to happen. That's all.

"I dont know what he means" he means r word and then kill women and children. He wants them to lock the villagers up in the local sept and burn them to the ground. He wants them to do all the things he loves to do but just dont put his name on it... Jace is hands down the best choice for ruler at this moment. Alicent does love her kids, but remember her mother died when she was young and Otto raised her in King's Landing where she was basically a servant to Rhaenyra. She was never shown how to show affection. If she had been raised in her house, she would have been the darling of the house where she would have been taken much better care of. While being handmaid to the Princess is an honor, it is also just a step up from being a maid.

I was the c artoonist on the London Evening Standard back in the 80s, Sometimes I got press tickets for new movies but I rarely went to see them. I was given a ticket to see Raiders ofthe Lost Ark and had it in my po ket when I went into town to meet someone who wanted me to do some work for them. The person contacted me and said they couldn't meet me until noon, I was already in town for the 10 o'clock appointment. Then I remembered my cinema ticket, it was actually the first showing of Raiders, even before the premier. Judging by the artwork on the ticket, I thought it was a western and didn't really want to see it but I thought I'd at least have somewhere warm and comfortable to wait for my appointment. I was pleased when I realised the movie wasn't a western and then became so delighted to find that Raiders was one of the best movies I'd ever seen. I left the cinema with a huge smile on my face and actually bought 6 tickets for my close friends to see it. I told everyone about it for days afterwards.

"American" rights are the rights everyone has in a state of nature. We are all born with those rights. But its only the United Stares that has codified the protection of those rights. They are not granted by the government, as they are elsewhere in the world. The U.S. government may not infringe upon those rights with which we are what we would all have in a world without order. There are however responsibilities that U.S. citzens owe their country. But fewer and fewer want to shoulder those it seems. I am sorry that you don't live in a country that protects your natural human rights. And i am thankful that i do. Despite how many in the U.S. government are determined to change that fact.

Jenny was never a reliable person and Forrest was a gullible idiot so I genuinely doubt Forrest is the dad as its just a coincidence that jenny is dying and she only calls once she knows he's loaded. plenty of women have had a foolish simp unknowingly take care of a bastard child.

The last scene of the Ark being put in a vast warehouse is supposed to represent the Ark being lost to history once again. Where it belongs. Lost.

This was my grandmother's most favorite Christmas to watch. Unfortunately, she passed away late August from a heart attack. I believe that Thanos didn’t kill Thor at the beginning because he was honoring his deal with Loki - “the Tesseract, or your brother’s head”. Loki gave up the Tesseract, so Thanos held up his end of the bargain by sparing Thor.

The "top men" was a through off. There is only one "top" man who just packed the ark up and put it in a massive warehouse full of other boxes to be forgotten. Note when I saw the movie in my early teens during the theatrical release, in '81 I thought much the same as you. I figured the US military somehow use the ark to build the A bomb and the other boxes were multiple supernatural artifacts the US gov is hiding.

I know someone will have already said this but I am going to say it again in case Evie doesn't know. The guy that plays Sallah, John Rhys-Davies is the person that played Gimli in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and out of the fellowship he was the tallest actor playing the shortest character.

I was in college in L.A. when this film came out. They had a sneak preview a week early. Some friends of mine and I went to see it. When Indy shoots the swordsman, the whole theater held their breath for a moment, then the largest cheer of the night happened. We were sworn to secrecy, but damn we talked up the movie.

The most HORRIFIC part of the movie is that Lambert had no pants on after the Alien had killed her. Im glad they didn't show what happened to her.

While filming the spider sequence at the beginning of the film, the tarantulas on Alfred Molina's back barely moved. They were afraid the audience would think they were fake, so the spider wrangler told them to add a female tarantula on Alfred's back and stand aside because they would go crazy. That's the scene you ended up with in the film. Poor Alfred having to go through that ordeal!

I like how the Egyptians made a whole building for the sole purpose of showing where the ark is, something that they know. Plus the ark is in the one big building in the middle of the city...I never would have thought to look there.
@swagromancer2 күн бұрын
As someone working in amuseum, I can tell you that the importance of writing things down that "everybody knows" cannot be overstated, because only a decade later, that knowledge can already be lost. Plus, the Egyptians were obsessed with leaving things to posterity, so much so that they often wrote identical text on multiple massive walls, just in case some of them got destroyed somehow.
