I mean Dante didn't come back better, infact his return ruined his character, he just lost without any change or improvement and ultimately had no impact. He started out as a very interesting and entertaining villain, most of the villains started that way but they keep losing without getting much screentime or interactions with other characters. They are just being used as Obstacles without any depth even though they have so much potential and its unfortunate. Most of the community seems to forget that villains are characters too and they should have just as much depth, if not more so than the main characters and thus allowing them to improve. Its a shame because Tabata is really good at setting up these characters but doesn't give them enough time to grow.

I agree but I wish there would have been some losses to set the severity off lucifero because to me patri was better because you Kew nothing good would come with him neing their. even Vadis took a person's arm and severed kohonos throat. if he comes back I want to see why he is the king. why 90% of the population would've died. also I LOVE black clover. it's the best in my opinion and it will stay that way in my mind. peace love all.

The lack of death in this arc makes it feel like there's no suspense, no real fear of a character dying, nothing on the line, no true risk The king of devils even at 50% is powerful enough to low dif every captain, yet tabata means to tell me that he hasn't killed a single person? Same thing with the whole magicula battle, she didn't off a single one and even when gadjah was dying, mimosa is conveniently there on time 🤷🏾‍♂️, overly convenient

Your coverage of the last half of this arc has been quite solid bro. On the other hand I can’t continue making excuses for the execution of this arc. Quite subpar to be completely honest. With the way the lore has been teased out, what would a rematch even look like? In what way would the devils be reengaged storywise? It really does not make much sense to me. The Qliphoth tree was the perfect way to introduce the devils as main antagonists and parallel the elf arc but a follow up would be tough to do considering how big of a deal it was for the dark triad to open up the gate to begin with. Can’t say I’m satisfied. Hopefully Adremelech has an ace up his sleeve or else the devils are the weakest antagonists of the series. Makes me want to put the manga down tbh.

The thing I keep saying is that there are still devils that have only been teased. It's entirely possible for them to be better villains than Lucifero. However, most people think Lucifero was supposed to be the best villain of Black Clover. There is still room for far better villains with more depth than him

My only problem with this arc is the lack of devil lore. Idc that nobody died or lucifero lost. I don't like the fact that we still dont really kno anything about the devils yet. Hopefully that's coming soon nobody would be calling lucifero a bad villian if we had some background on him

Adrammech and his sus intentions for one. That was pretty obvious when he refused Luci that theres more to those devils dynamics. Megicula go awry with her own plan was another. Other devils need to be introduced so this half baked Luci plan need to fail, he needed to be 'pushed back' so that maybe he see a 'no holds barred' fight since a full power Luci would flatten the continent in a second without a fight so maybe the ideal place for the final battle is the underworld, not Spade kingdom.

I don't even think it was the manifestation that held him back, but rather the lack of grimoire. I think its important to note that Dante had access to a grimoire, while Lucifero didn't. In order to use a grimoire, you need to control the soul that does as confirmed by Tabata. Megicula possessed Acier and Vanica's soul due to the femcation spell she casted therefore, she could most likely use complex spells. Beezlebub didn't possess Zenon's soul until he made a very specific deal therefore, we cant assume he can use complex spells off the bat. Naalith used very basic, attribute attacks like Lucifero, they didnt even use a single named spell. Freezing sun wasn't even the name of their giant attack, it was the name of the chapter therefore, that attack did not officially have a mane, it was the raw attributes mixed together. The common denominator between the Naalith and Lucifero is neither possess grimoirs. I don't think Lucifero can use more complex spells unless he has a grimoire. He was even angered at Zora's grimoire suggesting that he knows how much they help. Either that or his 100% manifestation allows him to use more complex spells. Regardless we have evidence that devils can only use basic spells unless they have access to a grimoire. And part of me thinks that there will be another situation where a devil acquire ls a grimoire, whether it be Lucifero or another devil.

The hate for this chapter is already at a fever pitch. Lucifero is Dark Triad 2.0... had potential, but Tabata ruins them. The weakest aspect of Black Clover is its villains. Fairy Tail 2.0 is understandable at this point lol The issue with this is that nobody will care about 100% Lucifero and Megicula due to already being defeated and embarrassed. This was the time for stakes and Tabata AGAIN uses plot convenience. This might be worse than Muzan's defeat
