Very glad to be proven wrong and able to shine some light on Saul Tarvitz, the contrast to Lucius and what the Emperor's Children became. Saul truly reached perfection and threw off the shackles his father had cruelly placed upon him while proclaiming that they were the very wings to help him rise to perfection.. Lucius on the other hand finally devolved completely and became nothing more than a slavering beast cursed to live for eternity as a slave to a god that cares not a whit about perfection but only to drink in the endless energies of excess until growing disgustingly fat like a plump mosquito on the verge of bursting.

Interesting. Looked forward to a Fabius Bile one at some point but this is good, Lucius and Saul aren't given much coverage and I imagine the narration can really play off Lucius being contrite with his friend, then a traitor, then the monster he becomes. EDIT: The grand quote narrator is a touch I like, the Lucius actor has a sickly manic quality which suits how he would speak. The lady from the Curze video is a welcome return, her voice acting has a good imperious quality especially in a Dark Eldar. Perhaps she would make a good voice for Sarrin, Celestine or even Shadowsun?

In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future Lucian is monster because he is the dark mirror of ourselves who take enjoyment of the suffering of others, and the vanity and pride which we all crave deep inside.

The excerpt with Nykona Sharrowkyn was sooo damn good. The narration, the flow, the banter, and 100% the voice acting had me clutchiing my seat. I'll admit I never read the Istvaan books and learned it all through word of mouth so I had no idea who the victor was going to be but you can bet I was cheering for Sharrowkyn all the way! I remember listening to the audiobook of the Horus Heresy books for the first time ever and I remember clear as day thinking I kinda liked Lucius. The conversation in the book at 34:59 was the moment, and I as a reader felt genuinely hurt when Lucius turned traitor. I knew little to nothing about this period and history so I didn't know this was established lore but seeing the fall was a saddening thing.

This has got to be my favorite channel when it comes to warhammer lore. It not only immerses you in with stellar voice acting, but from the amazing descriptors of each character. My favorite has to be the Thousand Sons duelist, and how he's described in robes, with a crystaline khopesh straight out of a fantasy novel, but then it quickly pulls you back into the setting at the mere mention of the power weapon. Big props to the VAs, especially Fulgrim's for being able to bring out the curious feeling of not knowing how fulgrim truly feels. Just props all around

I really enjoy it. All of it. I am an extremely emotional person when it comes to stories. Emotions seep to me through the pages of books and projectors of movies and I can feel all of them. And now Amber has probably given me my favourite story teller out there. I can feel every sentence, every feeling, every implication. I came for Ahriman's lore, I stayed for the story telling. I can't express how much I enjoy this work, It's one of my favourites. Usually I listen to it when I paint miniatures. Its a good past time. I hope you cover other universes at some point. It would surely be phenomenal.

Hi Amber King, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying all of the content you’ve produced so far, it often makes me fall asleep, entertains me during my daily commutes, to the gym, etc … and I couldn’t thank you enough for the quality and passion of your storytelling, I am truly grateful to be able to enjoy it. Lore Question: Why didn't the Primarchs have kids? I'm not talking about their Legions, I mean actual descendants. They were on those worlds so long before Emps found them. Guilliman was all about stability, he would have had children to secure the future, Johnson would have taken a bride to father a lineage and you can't look me in the eyes and tell me Fulgrim doesn't fuck.

Most likely it’s because they can’t have children just as the astartes cant. The emperor made the super humans to protect man but not replace man, so by removing any ability to breed the super humans would always reply on man. Plus they’re huge so I don’t think a primarch could safely have sex without killing the woman

Emperor did NOT want Space Marines out in the wild reproducing without his control, so he ensured they couldn’t get anyone pregnant. Canon differs on how they approach sexuality but I agree there are definitely Astartes out there fucking. I think Salamanders even get married sometimes, and the Emperor’s Children, well… yeah. Romantic and sexual partners yes, biological offspring no.

Instead of genitals they have a special organ that collects their "gene seed" (a splice between sperm and egg). The best place to put it is that an Astartes may start as a man, but afterwards they are something more and less. But mostly it prevent them from having loyalties to anything other than to each other and their duty. It's keep them reliant on the human race to exist.

It's stated many times that the primarchs are distinctly taller, broader and bulk much more massive then humans and even most astartes. So fit would be the first hurdle. Then there's the fact they are blatantly non human or at the least human then altered. It's mentioned that baseline humans are awestruck to pissing themselves just being IN the same room and astartes can be flummoxed if a primarchs full attention is on them. They are awe inspiring, they are terrifying, sometimes charismatic, some are demogogs that can cause you to utterly reject what you fervently believed but sexy? No. Imagine an angel manifested at the end of your bed and woke you up. It glows, there's an ethereal chorus surrounding it, the wings, the wings! Whiter then anything you've encountered. There face is perfection. Beauty personified. You can acknowledge its the most perfect beautiful thing you've ever seen. You might want to worship it, try to capture or replicate its image but you don't have a hard onand wanna bang it. Dig ?

Honestly, I kinda think its a shame that Lucius wasnt actually perma-killed by Nykona, cause that death was honestly perfect for him. I also really hope Nykoa is still alive, considering he went into hibernation, guarding the Sangprimus Portum, which Cawl used to make the Primaris, I really hope Nykona survived to become one of the first generation Primaris Marines, that way he'd almost certainly still be a match for Lucius and quite possibly still capable of killing him. More than anything, he's alos a really damn cool character and honestly, I'd say he's a cooler character than Lucius, he's a top tier duelist, and has the benefit of not being a massive bitch.

Definitely my favorite wh40k channel, the insight these stories give me and my own personal reflections really are helped by the way you channel and express these characters, but mainly the primarchs, and I feel like I'de want to hear Mortarions story through the lens of The Amber King, but yknow do as you will, thank you either way
