Its the funniest 40k book (although some ork books are really goddamn funny). I like how in response to it being stolen hes like "i have a plan to get back on orikan" and I was expecting some epic body changing raid, and instead he just taddles on him to the council which backfires spectacularly.

Trayzin’s experience with the old librarian, that is probably the craziest display I’ve yet seen from a Nekron. They are soulless beings, yet here’s Trayzin, giving a young man in the Imperium a full life, allowing him to have a family with someone he loved, and to even keep in contact with his siblings, he knew his nephews for crying out loud! Trayzin is a strange being, but THIS? This is easily the kindest thing I’ve ever seen in 40k. For as cold as he’s made out to be…he just isn’t as heartless as the metal he’s made of. That’s wild to me.

Keep your eyes peeled, fellow traveler of the void. There's actually quite a few more acts of kindness in this grimdark future, the lions share of which come from beings and corners you'd never expect. This one is certainly one of my favorites though!

But didn't Trazyn and the other high nobles get to keep their souls and consciences? The C'tan ate the souls of all the lesser castes of Necrontyr but the high nobles got to keep theirs..

@@elitereptilian200Not their souls, just their essence. It seems that the technology used for the greater Necrons’ bodies could maintain the connectomes of their respective recipients in their entirety. I have been creating a Necron Dynasty slowly to match my Aeldari force. The Gleaming Ones. Surpassed 2000 points recently on the Necrons. I've been playing nearly 25 years. Many many armies all with stories , wins, loses and amazing levels and sets of skill gradually grown within them. I've made it a point to try and make the color schemes appropriate to the Dynasties. The force is comprised of a great number of Warriors , Scarabs and Wraiths. I've begun mixing in Scorpeth variants as well. Watching this ; as with many of your videos makes me open storage and pull out armies, units or characters collected over the years and give them a fresh set of paint and new life on the table once again. Keep them coming.

I watched this back when it first released and it's one of my favourite character deep dives that you've done, up until watching it I hadn't realised how charming and interesting the Necrons could be. This last month I've been reading The Infinite and The Divine, my first 40K book, and just completed it, so I'm looking forward to revisiting this video with full context of that story.

@@surimonizarro9791 seeing this emotional part of Trayzn was crazy to me ngl, really expands on his character too, really helps remind us that the 40k universe isn't just full of sociopaths and monsters, but there is still, deep down even in those you least expect a shimmer of humanity, which makes the grimdark all the more heartbreaking.

Great video @Amber King! I like Trazyn a lot andI found "The Infinite and the Divine" to be an awesome Necron centric novel. In a way, Trazyn and Origin's stories reflect the tragedy of the Necrontyr race. Remember kids: don't accept favours from star eating gods haha.
