What bothered me about Liz is she didn't want a guy until someone else wanted him. Jason's life was too dangerous for her but she was jealous of his relationship with Sam and wanted it for herself. She didn't want Lucky anymore but if you watch when she walked in on LuSam kissing after she was shot, pure jealousy written all over her face. Just find a man of your own.

@50patrice i feel like if Elizabeth ever watched her kids, they wouldn't constantly be kidnapped, left in house fires, or injuried at carnivals. i know what an accesory is after the fact, but i still don't feel like that's what Sam was. she witnessed something & froze, it's not like she helped the lady get away. i just hate the way Liz always tried to change the facts of what happened like Sam had plotted with Maureen to get rid of Jake. it was ridiculous, considering she had no issue w/Maureen.

I wish Sam would have just went to Mac and told him about witnessing Jake's kidnapping after this scene with Liz. Sam was a witness not an active participant in the kidnapping and she benefitted in no way. I think Sam should have just told everything and freed herself so that Jason and Liz would have been exposed as the lying hypocrites they were. And then maybe Jason would have been able to actually get to spend time with his son.

Fellow GH Fans: We decided to comment of this subject matter because we think it's important to clarify the legal definitions. There are too many misconceptions and misunderstandings out there to just let it be. It is important to be clear in one simple fact, there is no way that Sam would have been found accessory after the fact under New York State Law. The legal definition of Accessory After the Fact is the following: "A person who participates knowingly or voluntarily in the commission of a crime." An accessory can be categorized as before or after the fact (the commission of the crime). An accessory after the fact is someone who shelters, relieves or assists a felon after a crime has already been committed (such as the driver of a get away car). Assistance can take the for of financial, material or even emotional support of the principal actor. The elements for one to be an accessory to a crime varies from state to state. In order to convict a person for being an accessory to a felony, a Prosecutor must be able to prove the following elements: 1. The crime was committed by another individual 2. The defendant assisted, helped, encouraged, or aided the other person in the commission of a crime 3. The defendant acted with intent for the crime to be completed. For, the fact that Sam was a witness to the kidnapping doesn't qualify her as an accessory to it. If this were true then can you imagine how many people the police would have to process on a daily basis just for being witnesses to a felony. Seriously, with all due respect, we all should be more judicious when making statements that may have an impact on other people. if i was Sam i still would've told on Elizabeth. i'm not the police, it's not my job to stop someone from kidnapping. i'm sorry but that doesn't make me an accessory, it makes me a witness and lots of people are witnesses to crimes but don't speak out.

@50patrice yeah, both Sam and Jason were written extremely out of character during that time but i always felt like Sam was having a nervous breakdown. and my memory may be fogy but wasn't she going to go tell Jason and then found out he had Spinelli investigating her for the kidnapping. and given the way Jason acted towards her after and threatening her, it seems her fears were correct. Jason is actually my favorite character but i was on Sam's side here.

@gigga143 It was holding back the info that really got her into trouble, not the freezing. no one was willing to believe that she was too terrified to go to jason with what she had seen. in her mind, he and others would think her guilty. she was right, but there was no reasoning with them. Really the problem was the whole impossible slash and burn s/l. we know that sam never would have done such a thing.

I researched this thoroughly, cause I needed to know. In the state of New York Sam can not be charged with aiding and abetting or any other crime for watching Jake get kidnapped. And the hiring those guys is only a harrassment or intimidation charge, she'd have to pay fine at the most.

Ummm...Sam would not get into trouble for witnessing a crime. Bad GH writers. She would be in trouble for hiring those actors in the fake park rescue. Not much trouble though because it is not a felony to prank people. Alexis coulda got her off.

Yeah, witnessing a crime is not a crime -- if it were, damn near everybody would be booked... Sam had no prior knowledge the crime would occur, therefore, she's just a witness... You could argue that she had a moral obligation/responsibility, sure... Legally -- not so much...

Witnesses are encouraged to come forward but they cannot be forced, because, again, we've all probably witnessed a crime at some point in our lives, however minor the offence -- so, are we ALL culpable?... @50patrice sometimes i try not to think about... i do watch old clips but i never watch anything after Jerry took the metro court hostage till around the time period where they saved Jake and then to the time period with the explosion in the alley till current. it makes me irritated with Jason if i watch the stuff in between. i like to visit the Lila s/l, memory loss, and train wreck and that helps me keep the faith. i actually started watching GH when Jasam fell apart but i still love them.

@gigga143 Agreed. They all betrayed her. Starting w/Jason...Elizabeth, Spinelli, Sonny, Carly, Lucky.All the many times and different ways she has been there for them over the years. When she really needed them...Nothing but accusations, and betrayal of trust. I should stop watching back vids, it's negatively influencing how i see Jason. What's w/the writer's willingness to let Sam be treated this way w/no consequences? It is too far from reality for me. I'm trying to keep the faith but IDK...U?

wow all of these old clips are great. Liz really isn't bad, she is unstable. I don't think she knows who, what or how to love because outside of her kids she's put others before her. Sam has paid for what happened and reached out to Liz many times. Liz is holding a grudge and it wouldn't matter if Sam died, Liz would still spit at Sam. everyone is accountable for their actions including Liz. By all accounts Lucky is the love of her life, but he is gone. Jason well he offers that wild protective at all cost life, danger is intriguing. And she may have loved once, but she is now obsessed with what may have been. She has slept with her friends exes, that does happen, and she is not the most loyal. She is human.
